“Surely Michelin star staus”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

The restaurant was busy and we didn't have reservations. A seat at the bar beckoned. We thought long and hard about this and eventually agreed. We started with Eggplant Fritter followed by Flat Iron Steak and Halibut as our main meals. Desert was a Coconut Cream Pie. This meal was one of the best we've ever had and the desert was to die for. You get what you pay for and I would have sat in the kitchen for a meal like this!

“Enjoyable”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

We stopped by JoLe on a Thursday night after arriving in Calistoga earlier that day. The restaurant was fully booked but the staff made an effort to seat us at the bar. There was a short wait for the bar seats, but we passed the time by ordering drinks and waiting in the hotel lobby next door. We tried several small plates and enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine and we thought everything was absolutely delicious. If you're in Calistoga, definitely check out JoLe.

“Good food but not the best for the price”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

We had a good 4 course menu and we enjoy the food. The price are quite high versus what we get. I will recommand more the Solbar in Callistoga for a better food at the same price.

“Nice Selections and Options”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

An intimate place on the little main street in Calistoga. They offered a nice option to build your own prix fixe dinner menu, with variable number of courses, and we selected a 5-course meal. As our server directed, we held the 5th course in reserve for a desert.

The food was good, we were not disappointed, yet after returning from the week of wining and dining in Napa area, it frankly didn't stand out other than I recall ordering octopus as one of the menu items. What I did find memorable was the dessert. I thought I had tasted the best dessert to date, a pumpkin souffle from our local eatery, but there's a new king in town, and it is the coconut cream pie from JoLe. We were told to save room for it. It was simply to die for. It had toasted (candied?) coconut shavings and sauce... it was heaven. I have been so good on our diet and fitness, I had intended to eat only a portion of it, but could not stop until it was finished.
