Clean, convenient to the airport. But if you want a view of the bay, go down the road a mile to the Bay Landing hotel, it is much nicer, and cheaper.

Spent a night in this hotel at the beginning of our trip to California and then a night again at the end.
Conveniently close to SFO, in fact I think that there is a shuttle bus from the airport but we had a car so we didn't use it.
The rooms were clean but basic, the staff were helpful and the continental breakfast was a bonus. They had a PC in the reception area that was free to use.
Great location looking out over the sea, you can also watch the planes landing at the airport.
There is a nice restaurant nextdoor that we ate at but I can't remember the name; it was good though.
All in all if you want a cheap place to get your head down before or after a flight, this hotel ticks the box.

Room Tip: Get a room overlooking the sea.

Spent our day in San Francisco, so we wanted to find a place to crash that was away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We decided to go south of SF and find something to prep for our flight back the next day. We did not make reservations at any hotel for that night, so we went old-school and drove around to check for availability. We checked the usual suspects around the Airport Blvd, but they were all sold out. So, we decided to drive down another exit to find a place that wasn't sold out. Boy, did we luck out. Vagabond Exec had an opening, and we realized that our window was across the bay from SFO! My friend and I both love planes and listening to live air traffic control. If you are an airplane enthusiast, this is the place to be (be sure to request a view of the bay). The continental breakfast is top notch with high quality and lot of variety.

Room Tip: Request a view of the bay/SFO. It's not overly loud.

We needed a place to stay while on our epic 10 year anniversary road trip thru California. I spent lots of time on Trip Advisor beforehand to make sure we were booking hotels that were free of bed-bugs, etc. This place had some mixed reviews but looked promising....We could not have been more pleased with our stay here!

I booked an up-graded view room online at Hotels.com (got a great price, btw) The up-graded rooms ahve better beds, linens, etc. and a gorgeous view of the bay and planes coming in for landing over the water. They are also in an inside corridor, (feels safer) whereas the non-up-graded rooms are all outside like a motel. When we got to the hotel around 9pm, our Front Desk Clerk/Hostess said she booked us a 1st floor up-graded room. Because we are from a small town in Oregon, and this hotel is very near the airport in the huge city of San Francisco, I was a little hesitant to stay on the ground floor. The glass doors on the ends of the hallways do not have any locks, and each view room has a sliding glass door out to a patio or balcony, but there is no fence between the slider and the walk path along the bay, so ground floor was a little intimidating.

But when we asked Lisa Kelley, the Front Desk Clerk/Hostess, if there was a way to get a room not on the ground floor, she was so accommodating! She switched us to a 3rd floor up-graded room and even gave us a corner room which seemed a tad more spacious. The 3rd floor room had a balcony and the view was even better! The night we stayed the bay was like glass as there was no wind, so watching the planes come in over the water and seeing their lights reflected on the bay was breathtaking! We sat for almost an hour on the balcony just mesmerized!

THE BED WAS DREAM! The up-graded beds are worth every penny! It was literally melt-into worthy! The lines were clean and crisp and oh so snuggy with plenty of pillows!

I am a light sleeper and there were some reviews that talked about plane noise, but I sleep with a white noise machine and earplugs to drown out my husband's snoring. The plane noise was not even an issue for us! The constancy of the plane noise blended well with my white noise machine and we slept like babies!

And then there is breakfast! We were on a budget for this trip and some of the hotels I booked had breakfast that was either paltry or non-existent, but this hotel has hot eggs, bacon, sausage, corned beef hash, and make it yourself belgian waffles. And besides the syrup and butter, they even provided strawberries and whipped cream...on a thursday morning!

All in all, a wonderful stay!

My wife and I stayed for one evening before departing to Puerta Vallerta and loved our room and the breakfast in the morning before the shuttle took us to the airport!
We left our car while we were away and were picked up when we returned to SFO.
The counter help was excellent but the elevator was not working!! We had a room on the third floor!!!

I have stayed there already two times (summer 2010 and 2011) and I was always very satisfied. The room was really nice and clean, also the view was amazing.
Friendly stuff, varied breakfast and fresh baked cookies at the front desk make this hotel even better. I can really recommend this hotel.

Clean quiet rooms. Conveniently located near the airport (actually I walked from the airport in ~40 minutes along the beautiful bay shoreline park. Breakfast with waffles, fresh fruits. Free airport shuttle every 30 minutes. Free wireless network. Three nice restaurants in walking distance. For the price an excellent location.
