This biggest issue with my stay came from an incredibly rude and unprofessional security guard near the pool on the evening of Saturday August 17th. Speaking to other guests, I understand that I was not the only guest with an issue with this security guard. I asked the managers to file formal complaints; I'd like to know the outcome of these complaints. If I were running this hotel, I would not have anyone (including contracted security) treating guests this way. In addition, that same evening it took well over an hour to get towels and a pillow sent to my room. Also, I was incorrectly instructed that ice was only available on the sixth floor (my room card only worked for the 8th floor). In addition, the bath tub drained very slowly and we basically showered in a puddle of water. Lastly, the sofa bed mattress was not thick enough to prevent the bed frame from poking through. I asked for additional padding/blankets and I never received it. We basically had to use the sofa cushions to overlay on top of the sofa bed so that the bed frame did not poke at the sleeper's back. I sincerely cannot believe that an Embassy Suites would fall so short of the basic standards. At check out, I asked if I could at the very least get my parking removed from the bill in order to make up for all the issues, but was told it could not be done because the manager was not in the office yet (it was 7:30am on Monday August 19th; I guess that is too early for management).
