Description: New England Lobster Market & Eatery is an authentic east coast seafood experience in the San Francisco area. We started in the wholesale business delivering quality seafood at a great value and took that experience to serve customers at our restaurant. Whether you're shopping at the market or grabbing a meal at the eatery, when you visit you'll discover live Maine lobsters, Dungeness crabs, mussels and more. Diners at our restaurant love the dressed lobster rolls, lobster corn chowder and crab nachos. We welcome families and can accommodate business group and parties in our space. We also serve beer, wine and champagne to complement your meal. As long-time merchants in the wholesale shellfish business, we are able to consistently delight our customers with great prices and superb products. We promise you won't find an experience like ours anywhere else in the Bay Area! Eatery Hours: 11am-9pm daily

Great experience!
We tried our very first Lobster there and had no idea how to do it. They gave us a very funny lesson!
Try the soup!

OMG...what a great place. Loved the Naked Lobster Roll and Lobster Tacos. They sell the Lobsters on site and thus you can not get any fresher. It is awesome to sit oustide on their picinc table enjoying the great food. Make sure you order a beer or two or three to top off the great seafood ....hehehehehe.

You will want to repeat and tell your friends.

You'd never expect such a restaurant in Burlingame, just one exit south of SFO. It's tucked away among the many airport related service companies and biotech start ups.

I've had their dressed lobster rolls a couple of times. At around $17 a piece, it's a pricey lunch, especially considering that I can eat it in about 4 bites. But, the food is great. Their potato chips are sliced from real potatoes, and while it's not anything to be excited about, it's a nice touch.

Most recently, I had their lobster platter. At around $19, you get a whole pound and a half lobster - shell, claws and all still intact. It makes quite an impression when you first see it. It's a bit messy to eat, but if you're a lobster fan, it's the one to choose.

Drinks are limited - they serve sodas from Maine. The lime soda and root beer sodas, which are the only ones I've tred so far, are so sweet that you'd have to dilute them with water. So the choice of drinks gets a minus point for me.

This place is just like what you would find in Maine. So cozy and like sitting at home, eating a scrumptious dinner. We had the crab nachos and lobster rolls. Way too much to eat, but beautifully fresh and tasty. The crab nachos were packed with crab, beans, cheese and served on thinly slice potato crisps. Beautiful. The lobster roll is the best I have tasted in San Mateo County. Take my advice, this is the best.

There is Sam's Chowder House in Half Moon Bay that has ocean views, sun, great environment and crowds. They use Blue Crab meat in their sandwich, and claw meat in their Lobster Roll. The Lobster Shack puts celery in their Lobster Roll, and some people like that. My husband and I like Dungeness Crab meat and that is what this place uses in their sandwiches. We had the Special which gives you a choice of: Lobster Corn Chowder (a cream type of soup) Or Manhattan Lobster Chowder (no cream, a little more spicy) AND choice of ½ of a Lobster Roll or Dungeness Crab Roll on Grilled Soudough. Accompanied by: 1 diagonal slice of grilled buttered Sourdough, a small amount of cole slaw and thinly sliced potato chips. Priced at $17.00 it seems like a bargain after the other two places I've been to. The portions looked small but it was filling and satisfying. I asked what lobster meat they use in their sandwich and they said it was a mixture of all 3 parts of the body which sounds like it is probably chopped up. Will come back for the $1.00 Happy Hour Oysters and try the Lobster Roll for comparison.
