We used the hotel as the last one on our trip. Our flight was departing on 6:05am so we needed something close to the airport. The hotel provided everything we needed. A nice room, good bed, the restaurant was also OK. The price was very reasonable. This was a full match to our goals.

Here on a business confernce so the room was on the "executive floor" (needed the room key for elevator). Wifi in the room is $9.95 a day, which was a surprise. In the conference room the wifi was limited and spotty. Limited choices for dining, nothing within walking distance. The hotel shuttle runs every half hour from the airport and was prompt. You can hear the 101 Fwy from the room but it did not bother me during the night.

Nearly everything was mediocre, but the wifi was at times unusable

Good news , bed is comfortable sheets good quality, plenty of nice thick towels, room clean

Bad news, WiFi internet upload speed very erratic. Not possible to have a Skype conversation, the other party can not hear you.

Breakfast selection very limited and quite expensive

The public spaces, rooms and windows look worn and tired

Window do not open, if you are on the side facing Highway 101, the noise is quite noticeable (but did not botherne)

Room Tip: Look for a better alternative !

Circumstances staying at Crowne Plaza: Missed flight, three and half hours at airport
Initial contact: My husband contacted hotel. Friendly, prompt service to secure a room, free
transportation (all details settled - peace of mind)
Arriving: Immediate, friendly welcome, given key and directions to room, all my questions
friendly, prompt manner. Reassuring me of free transportation for my morning
flight
Desk clerk: Reminded me of "we will keep the light on for you" Olde fashioned American
caring A huge contrast to the busy world of San Francisco
West Bay Cafe: Hostess, Waiter excellent service, sense of humor, food artfully arranged
and delicious.
Manager: Well aware of his staff names, qualities, relationship good Proud of his hotel

Okay if you need a room and nothing else is available. Room was very small, a tv, not even a fridge. Staff was rude. Wait in line to check in too long - only 15 minutes free parking, went over by 2 minutes and the nasty girl working at the parking gate charged me for the entire time, Really left a bad taste as there was no place available to leave your car when you check in as at any other hotel. Carpeting the room was not recently vacuumed and bathroom could have been cleaner.

Got a good price for this hotel thru a website. Was excited to stay at a Crown Plaza. Room was nice but small. Two double beds, coffee maker, tv...not many channels unless you want to pay extra for them. In fact it seemed like extras all cost money. Parking was $18 a day (a bit pricey). They had free wifi in lobby but it was $9 per device per day in room. A bit much in today's world where almost everyone has a device that uses wifi, especially in the Bay Area, heart of tech.

Indoor pool was small. When we went to see it, it was like a sauna too many people in one small area. Even my kids said no thanks.

Overall it was a nice hotel but would not stay there again.

Hotel is in a great location if you have early morning flight out of SFO. But when I hear Crown Plaza I think a little nicer hotel than this one. Rooms are small, and could use some updating. Not the cleanest, particularly the bathroom, bath tub area. Breakfast was okay, same items everyday, but surprisingly no bagels! No english muffins. Front desk staff was okay, as well as the restaurant crew. Nothing special tho. There is a priority club room on the 10th floor, but I never saw anything or anyone in there, so I don't know what the purpose of the room is? for this area I think you could do better.

The cleanliness issues you have brought to our attention are certainly not the norm in our hotel and they will be addressed immediately with our staff. Our last full remodel was in 2006 however we do have several floors that were recently redone in 2010 if you are travelling back this way please feel free to contact me directly and I would be more than happy to ensure you are in a newer style room.

As for our breakfast I think you make an outstanding recommendation for the breakfast buffet. We have already shared your thoughts with our chef and he will definitely look to adding more variety, especially the addition of bagels! I would love to have you back at our facility in the future and I hope that you will afford us another chance!
