The Hilton (not the Hilton Garden Court) at 600 Airport Boulevard is a joke. Do not stay here! We got a “deal” on Expedia – one of those last –minute book-its where you learn the name of the 4-star after you pay, only to see, 10 minutes later, when you learn the name of the hotel that it is only ten dollars cheaper than the booking rate on Expedia.

We understand that this is a businessman’s hotel, and we were not in business mode, but if you’re going to pay $130 for a room, $18 per day parking and $10.77 plus tax per computer in your room, we’d expect all this stuff to work. The room: we were eating room service (pretty good, fast service, and reasonable prices) when the toilet started gurgling. Ten seconds later the bathroom was flooded – at 10 pm. Housekeeping fixed it within 20 minutes, but not what we expected before a morning flight. The parking lot: DON’T DO IT! There’s an $8 a day lot across the street; if you just have carry-on, use the lot across the street; it’s a lot easier to get in and out of. Why? Because in order to exit the Hilton parking lot, you have to have your room card on you; we had turned ours in (and so had the three cars behind us), which meant a jaunt back across the lot and up the stairs to reception to get a new card. Last, watching people hover around the three free lobby-level computer terminals at happy hour is like watching a Mako shark feeding-frenzy. Why? Because the $12 you pay for “WiFI Internet” in your room is not high speed at all; it’s 512, not high-speed. There is no high speed. And even though all the little outlets built into your Swedish blond furniture initially look cool, they’re useless: the high-speed requires a clumsy Ethernet cable, and there is no USB port. There are a million other hotels on Airport Boulevard; next time, we’ll opt for the Best Western.

I always like to stay at the airport the last night of a trip so that it's a snap to catch my flight the next morning. At San Francisco Airport, there are many, many choices of hotels with free shuttles to the airport. I've stayed at four of them but now I plan to return to the Hilton San Francisco Airport in Burlingame. The decor is fresh and modern, the rooms are super clean, and the front desk attendants are friendly. Instead of a kiosk for printing boarding passes there are three regular computers with printers, which makes a bit of websurfing possible. We arrived at the hotel after the regular restaurant had closed; and while we could have had appetizers at the bar up until midnight, the hotel is only a 5-minute walk to a 24-hour diner--a great boon for jetlagged travelers from the Pacific who are hungry for dinner at the wee hours of the morning. This particular Hilton has a very comfortable HHonors lounge where they serve a hot breakfast rather than the cold, continental choices that I expected. By electing to book the room on a nonrefundable basis I got this executive floor room for a very reasonable price. Altogether it was quite a pleasant experience.

This Hilton is one of the nicer airport Hilton's. The staff is so friendly and kind. Their Executive club is also very clean and they have a nice selection of food to chose from. The free shuttle to and from the airport runs every 15 minutes. If you need to get downtown the shuttle will drop you off at the International terminal for you tot take BART.

Only stayed one night here, but we were very happy with the room. Good size, very clean and tidy, quiet location even though by the airport. Paying for internet access is a bit over the top as most places offer for free however not really a major. Big Tv is very cool! Overall, pretty much a standard big corporate hotel but nevertheless, we enjoyed our night there.

For an airport hotel, it is one of the furthest airport hotels from San Francisco. This might have been mitigated if the hotel had more shuttle buses, but expect one to come every 30 minutes.

The room was ordinary. The internet was very very slow, definitely not worth the $9.99 per day, chargeable per device connected. Therefore if you connected your laptop, mobile phone etc to the internet - you are charged additionally per connection.

Parking valet was very slow. I parked the car and waited 5 minutes before giving up and parking the car myself.

Many rings to the concierge or reception went unanswered.

Overall - I was not happy with this Hilton. I would recommend you stay at the Westin or Crowne Plaza instead.
