“A little pricey but location considered, a good find”
Reviewed February 26, 2008

It could have been that the drive up to the actual hotel seemed promising and that is why I am giving this a slightly better rating than most. With that said you must know when making a reservation that it is a TRAVELODGE, so that means budget accomodations and limited amenities. For the night I was there the room served it's purpose, although I would recomend that you request for a 2nd floor room as you can hear every step made by your upstair neighbors. They do have a fridge, coffee maker and microwave in the room. I would have liked to have a table to eat any left overs I would have brought home but we made do by relocating the night stand. All in all the location is great as it is just a few minutes from downtown and among some great eateries just down the street.

First of all they expect to get the payment upfront and in full. Never heard of that before… the lady behind the desk, Terry was rude and had no knowledge of customer service. So called “Breakfast included” was simply a peace of cake you had to pick up from the front desk. And this is a hotel which charges over $90 per night for a single room. Forget the parking space. If you lucky to get one you have to back up to a very busy street which is very dangerous.
Overall a very bad experience and will NOT recommend to anyone considering the fact that there lots more in that are to choose from.

Out of the six motels I stayed in during this business trip, this was the worst, and a couple of those places were pretty bad. The keycard machine was down, so the manager's boyfriend had to let me in everytime. The room was tiny, chintzy, and I had strange stains which made it clear to me that it wasn't very clean. The parking lot was a joke. No internet and basically no amenities other than a couple of bars of soap. There are a lot of cheaper places to stay in town and they aren't as shoddy as this place. For your own sake, do not stay here. You will be sorry.

Not enough outlets even for the items the motel had in the room. I had to unplug things to plug up my hair dryer and cell phone -- crawl under the desk in the sleeping area and find plugs almost in the dark!

The cable television was worse than snowy and had only a handful of channels. The desk man told me this was typical of the area, which I find inconceivable. The bathroom counterspace was almost nonexistent and very, very narrow.

Internet? Fuggedaboudit. The telephone couldn't even be used for local phone calls without a deposit! The carpeting was not clean, and the toilet didn't always work right.

I'm used to Atlanta pricing for hotels. In the Atlanta suburbs, the amount I paid would have gotten me a very, very pleasant place to stay. I guess California is just very expensive. The ONLY reason to stay here, is if PRICE is your most important consideration. I would have changed to a different place, but they require notice of cancellation so early, that it is very difficult to do!

I spent 1 night at this motel and this place is just pathetic. First of all, the room smelled like bug spray. It was so gross. Second, I the doors and the windows are so thin that it sounds like you're sleeping next to the freeway (even though it's just by a busy street). And my room was in the back so I can only imagine how it sounds in one of the front rooms. Third, the room was just gross. I was afraid to even sleep in the bed or use the towels it was so gross. And fourth, it took 5 minutes for warm water to come out of the shower.

For all of this crap, it was $86 with tax. Not worth it.

We booked 6 nights at the Travelodge Burbank-Glendale. It was cheap and seemed a good location. Very close to Burbank Airport.
We have stayed with Travelodge in the UK and USA previously and had no issues. A good value chain.
However, what a shock when we checked into room 110 at the Travleodge Burbank. It was dark, dirty and had a very bad smell. The toilet seat was broken and the bathroom was dirty. The carpet was filthy and stained. The room ceiling was full of large cobwebs! The whole room was dirty and totally uncomfortable. It was cheap so we were not expecting a palace, but we did expect basic hygene standards. It was terrible. We checked out within 30 minutes of checking in. The reception were not interested and charged my credit card for the first night stay. I have emailed Travleodge and await a response.

We stayed here because we were going to Universal Studios and Warner Bros. It's very close to those places as well as NBC and Hollywood. It was very inexpensive, but in exchange for the price it was small, run down, the bathroom window was broken so it wouldn't close all the way, the shower was scary and the beds were small and didn't look as if the sheets had been changed recently. It was fine for staying one night, but I wouldn't recommend it for anymore than that really. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay and want to do all the Hollywood stuff over a couple of days then yeah, stay there to save money.
