I used to enjoy Don Cuco's in Santa Clarita years ago, so when I discovered this restaurant in Burbank, I was elated. While the food is on the salty side, I really enjoyed the 2 meals I've eaten there. The ambiance is great (it is a bit darker than necessary), the waiters professional and attentive, and so far, the fajitas, carnitas, and other meals have been great.

A neighborhood gem! Parking is terrible and there is often a wait, but the drinks are great and the fajitas are even better. Service is usually good and it's a fun atmosphere.

Maybe it was because we don't have Mexican in Alabama, but the food at Don Cuco's was awesome. Service was excellent. Waiter and bus always appeared at the right moment. Loved the salsa, guacamole and chess dip. The grill shrimp tacos were perfect. The desserts were good. Parking is easy in parking deck next door. Downtown Burbank makes a fun statement. I am impressed with the development. It competes with Old Town Pasadena.

Ambiance: cross between dark, expensive restaurant and aging neighborhood place. Several apparent regulars came in while we were there, but first-timers like us were greeted just as warmly. Food, margaritas, and service were all good, not great. We lingered over our drinks after we'd paid the check, and were never pressured to leave before we were ready. In a word: comfortable.
