Description: Our burgers are six ounces of fresh ground beef served on a grilled bun with French Fries. The "Big Boy" is our original double-decker hamburger. It's two all-beef patties on our grilled sesame seed bun with crisp shredded lettuce, American cheese, dressing, and special relish.Come into Bob’s Big Boy for a scrumptious burger & fries or a refreshingly delicious milkshake. And you can get breakfast from us anytime of the day!

I have fond childhood memories of Bob's double cheeseburgers. Bob's Big Boy was a staple of southern California for many years, now there are only 3 left. I had the pleasure of having lunch at the original one in Burbank (built in 1949--see their website for more interesting historical information). For old times' sake, I had to have a cheeseburger. It was delicious! You get your choice of how you want it cooked, just like when you order a steak. The burger was thick and succulent, without being sloppy with juices. The bun was ever so lightly toasted on the inside, which enhanced the whole experience. The fries were a nice accompaniment. Service was fast, even though the place was jam-packed at lunchtime. Cost for cheeseburger with fries (didn't add the side salad), and iced tea was just under $12.50, and worth every penny.

In addition to the wonderful meal, a highlight was seeing the plaque above the booth where the Beatles sat in 1965. What could be better??!

Wow! Has it really been 48 years since the Beatles were here?! I guess what they say is true. Time flies when you're eating delicious cheeseburgers every day.

Thanks a lot for the awesome recommendation. I'm really happy to hear that, even after all these years, your experience with us was just as great as it was way back when. Please don't be a stranger around here! I hope to see you again soon.

All the best,

Mike Lopez, General Manager

It's a fun place that's a landmark in the area. I know of a grandma in her 70's that told me this used to be her hang out place when she was a young girl. On Fridays from 5-10pm, people bring their well preserved shiny classic cars to show off. You get to see all kinds of Classic cars and it's fun.

That's a cool story! I love getting the chance to meet people who hung out around Bob's growing up back in the day. Happy to hear you really enjoyed the atmosphere, especially at the classic car show. Looking forward to seeing you again soon, whether on Friday night or any other day of the week.

Fun atmosphere especially for the kids. The 50's - 60's custom car hangout capital of California is preserved in photos throughout the restaurant. The food is coffee shop quality at best, but the service is good and the prices are fair. Don't forget your camera.

A landmark from the 50's. It's a fun place to go especially on weekends when they have car shows and car hops. The food is average 50's diner style, nothing special there, but the legacy of the place and weekend activities make it worth the trip.

Thanks for the recommendation, Michael! Happy to hear that you fell in love with the nostalgia. 50's diner style is actually pretty special in this day and age, wouldn't you agree? Hope to see you again soon next time you're in the area or looking to make a trip. All the best — Mike Lopez, General Manager

It was very crowded & noisy. There was food on the carpet all over and the hamburgers were sloppy & the onion rings under done.

That's the opposite of how an experience at Bob's Big Boy should go — it's too bad that we were so busy during your visit, as I know that if we had been a little less crowded you would have enjoyed your experience. I'm sorry that your onion rings came out underdone, but if you give us a second shot I know we can make a better impression. Thanks for the feedback, and I hope you decide to return!
