“informal dining”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

Had a good breakfast with plenty of choices but the service was slow. Located in a strip mall - it was a busy place. While it was good, would not go out of my way to stop here.

“Bland breakfast”
Reviewed May 18, 2014 via mobile

The skinny:

Parking- large lot in a strip mall
Decor- simple, chairs not comfy
Service- spotty
Tea- tea forte
Restroom- dirty mop and not handicapable
Food- eh

So many people line up for bfast so surely it has to be a good thing? Well the service is slow and spotty. If you need anything you have to wave your arms and flag them down. Coffee refills should be automatic. I ordered a frittata with asparagus and mushrooms and Boursin cheese. It's not really a traditional frittata - it's more like an omelet and the cheese was just plopped on top. The eggs were completely bland, no spice, no herb, not even salt and pepper (which you will need alot of for flavor). The English muffin was barely toasted and cold. The mixed fruit had that I've been sitting in a vat of fruit juice since we prepped it on Friday night quality.

Very disappointing.

Maybe I should have tried the pancakes with the tons of toppings to get some flavor in my breakfast.
For $30 for 2 people I expect more. Don't wait in line, Go to Aroma cafe instead.

“Good Informal Dining across from Hotel Amarano”
Reviewed May 17, 2014

I was staying across the street at the Hotel Amarano and their property restaurant had a private function so I crossed the street and tried this local dining establishment. Service was friendly. Food was good and a bit different for one of their dishes. They are primarily open for both breakfast and lunch till the mid afternoon. If in the area again, I would probably try their breakfast offerings.

“Can I please have hot food!”
Reviewed April 23, 2014

Was on vacation in LA during spring break, doing the Universal Studio thing, and Bea Bea's was recommended as a top breakfast place near where we were staying (the delightful Tangerine Hotel). The food was a huge disappointment. I ordered eggs over medium, hash browns and turkey sausage. I realize the place is busy but that is no excuse for at best lukewarm food. It was almost inedible. The sausage patty had little warmth. The hash brown were worse, only slightly above room temperature. The eggs were also slightly warm. I don't know if this happens with everyone or was the result of bad waitstaff execution. However, this should never happen.
