“Horrible!!!!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2008

If you have asthma or have someone staying there with asthma, I warn you not to go. My 9 year old son has mild asthma and the mildew from this place was horrible. The smell was awful even for me! We only stayed 2 days but when I got home, I had to take him to the doctor! I spent the 2nd afternoon looking for cough medicine. My husband wrote this place to let them know it is a health hazzard and the emailed back and said "sorry you didnt like your stay" and that was it!! This place should be condemmed.

Really enjoyed our stay (6nights) May 30th 2008. Room was very clean and very smart, loved the decor. Very spacious. Good location if on foot (like us) can easily walk to Notts Berry Farm, Medevial Nights next door, as well as Ripley's believe it or not. Pool is lovely but small for size of hotel. Jacuzzi open till 10pm and very hot. Reception very helpful, breakfast brilliant (wish Americans didn't like crispy bacon tho, same all over LA) Newspaper everyday or credit if not required. Lots of families, which is a shame as rooms are way way too luxurious for small children. Restaurants, bar, fast food and handful of shops within walking distance (4-5mins) in London you would pay £150-200 a night easily for this hotel. I was worried after reading some reviews but everyone has own expectations and I've been told mine are high, so can only assume either hotel is now fully refurbished or other reviewers are royalty! we'd definitely go back.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The service was bad from all the employees except the manager. The manager of the hotel tried to make it up but it didn't fix anything, he just discounted our stay. The first room we were in was right outside the dumpsters and the garbage truck woke us up at 6 am in the morning. The manager changed us rooms and the new room was fine. They offered free shuttle service but the shuttle would only go to certain places at certain times and we did not like the times. You have to sign up for the shuttle in advance and if you wait too much, the shuttle fills up and you have to wait around for an hour or more for the next shuttle. The shuttle was almost always late picking up, sometimes more than 15 minutes. One night the shuttle left us at Disneyland. We signed up for it and when we went out there, about 3 minutes prior to the scheduled pickup time it was not there, even though we scheduled for the shuttle. I called the hotel after waiting for a half hour and found out it had left already. The first call they said they waited until 5 minutes after scheduled pickup and then left. When we got back they said they waited 15 minutes. They lied to cover themselves. No one in the hotel smiled or even had a pleasant attitude. The beds were hard and very uncomfortable. Room service forgot an item that I ordered and I had to call them back to get it. One of their vending machines ate my money. I would never stay there again.

This is an amazing hotel. I love staying here. This was our second time staying at this hotel and it won't be the last. Our room was wonderful. VERY CLEAN. The beds were wonderful. They have a very nice complimentary breakfast each morning with sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, eggs, pancakes, french toast, fruit, pastries, bagels, cereal and all kinds of drinks. The staff here are wonderful too. The only problem we had was checking in. We arrived around 4:30 and there was a wedding reception going on so parking was very hard to find. When I finally found a place to park and walked in, our room wasn't ready but they made it right and went out of their way to make sure that I was satisfied. I can't wait to return to the area and stay there again!

We booked two rooms for two nights in early April. Willem was our check-in front desk agent. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about Buena Park. I was traveling with two friends and my three teenagers. We went to Hollywood Walk of Fame, Disneyland and Knott Berry Farm during our stay.

Tip-Radisson offers free shuttle service to the Disneyland parks. Just make your reservatons for drop off and pick up before going to bed at night.

We had a beautiful courtyard pool view. We spent our nights in at the hot tub.

Best Features:

Sleep Number Bed -They are worth the upgrade cost

Free Breakfast - teenagers were vey happy with selection. One less meal I had to pay for in the parks!

Free parking

Shuttle to Disneland

Staff was very nice and helpful

Beautiful courtyard setting for pool and restaurant

Happy to recommend this hotel and I will book our next trip at this hotel for sure!

Our room and all the rooms overlook a beautiful courtyard. We even had a view of the pool. The kids called it a paradise. The hotel was very clean as was our room. It had a little wear and tear but nothing that wasn't expected. We were more then comfortable and appreciated that we didn't have to sit on the beds all the time as it has a sitting area in the front. The breakfast is a complete buffet and was a great start to each day. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The only downfall we experienced was the number of teenagers registered during our stay. We went over spring break and there were large numbers of schools staying over the same time. Some of the days it was hard to find a breakfast table or a spot in the pool as it was so full. As they were not there the whole time in was just a little inconvienient on those days. Generally we would recommend the Radisson to anyone going to Disneyland.

We stayed at Radisson Suites from Feb 13 to Feb 28.

This is a very nice family-hotel. We booked this hotel after reading the reviews on this site, and we were not disappointed.
The rooms were large and clean, the complimentary breakfast was very nice, and the staff was great. You can order any other meals from the restaurant in the hotel, the Capistrano’s.
If you don’t want to eat at Capistrano’s (you really should try them, the food and service is excellent), there are Subway, MacDonald’s, and diners in the area.

We all have different expectations to our hotels, and as I have learned from reading this page, we experience things different.
The bathroom door in our room was difficult to lock, and there were also a problem with our back-door, but that was no big deal. I mentioned this for the maintenance and they tried to fix it without any success. We didn’t travel half way round the world to sit in a hotel room anyway, so as long as the doors "did their job" there were no problem.

This hotel offers complementary transportation to Disneyland. Just contact the front desk and arrange the transportation. This is excellent service, and you will also save $11 in parking.
There are lots of things to do at nights. Medieval Times and Ripley’s “Believe it or not” are next door neighbours. We were also surprised by Knott’s Berry Farm. We had not heard of it until we started to read about the area after booking our stay, and it was just fantastic. This was absolutely one of the biggest surprises of our trip.
Disneyland, Universal Studios, Santa Monica and Huntington Beach etc etc were just as wonderful as we expected.

Unfortunately our daughter got sick during our stay. The staff was very helpful when we needed a doctor, and there were no problem for us to extend our stay when it turned out that we couldn’t go home at the decided date.

Since we were on a “roundtrip” in the Los Angeles area, we had planned to stay four nights only at Radisson Suites. We checked out and left for downtown LA. This was a bad choice.
We stayed there for one night only, and then we went back to Buena Park again.

We have no problem in recommending this hotel. We had a wonderful stay here, and we really hope to be able to come back some time.
Yes, Beach Blvd has heavy traffic, but if you don’t like traffic, you should not visit LA.
Yes, we can hear the people in our neighbour rooms (not often, and not very loud), but what do you expect when you stay at a family hotel? The most important thing is that things were quiet when you were supposed to sleep.

If you are visiting the area, this hotel is an excellent choice, but you should keep in mind that this is not a “$1000 hotel” so please remember that you have to carry your own luggage. It seems like some of the people that write reviews on this site forgets that “$” and luxury tends to be connected…..
