“OTT brunch”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

we went for a buffet breakfast and walked into a brunch buffet with just about every type of food (except cereal) you could wish for. It was an all you can eat ...... and they did!!! it was a mistake for us as we just wanted a breakfast. the omelette man was one of the nicest people we met on the whole trip

“Sure miss the old days!”
Reviewed February 22, 2014 via mobile

I recently took my mother in law from Colorado to Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant since she had fond memories of it from the 60's and I have always remembered the chicken and biscuits as the best anywhere. We should have kept our fond memories intact because this is not the chicken dinner of the past. First, the price at lunch time was $16.99 for chicken! Sure, you still get 4 pieces of chicken and some mashed potatoes slapped on the plate, with salad or soup, cabbage, pie, etc. but the quality was not the Knott's standard. Mrs. Knott would surely be horrified at the price and the quality. We all know that Knott's Berry Farm is no longer run by he Knott family, but how sad to serve Smucker's jam at the table! Sadly, I will not be back.

“More Hype than Taste”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

Mrs. Knott would not be happy with the experience we had! The food was average and it seemed more like a ride than a restaurant. As one group left, another filled the seats. Highly organized, but not what I am looking for in a eatery.

The Tuesday senior dinner buffet and the daily senior dinner specials are a big help for stretching Social Security!

“Not What it Used to Be!”
Reviewed January 29, 2014

Last visit here was about 4 years ago. Dining room that night was in the back and it had a bad, funky smell. Decided to try it again while on a business trip in neighboring Long Beach. Not a bad wait, about 15 minutes. Seated in front dining room that reminded me of being in a grandma's old house. Very outdated and I thought dirty. We had a waiter that was excellent, very friendly and attentive. Food was hit & miss. Husband and I both had the traditional chicken dinner, with rhubarb and cabbage. I thought cabbage was overcooked and bland. We both thought the mashed potatoes and gravy were lacking. Package flavor for both. Salad was prefab, from a sack. Biscuits were not the same tasty flavor that I remembered getting as a kid. Laughed at the Smuckers jam on the table. You would think they could at least serve jam with the Knotts label. Saving the best for last… the chicken was awesome. Moist and tasty! We were too full for the boysenberry jam, so we took it to go. It was awesome as well. Overall, things have gone downhill for this restaurant, a place that I have fond memories of visiting many times growing up.
