“A must if you go to Knotts!”
Reviewed January 5, 2012

Knotts is known for it's fried chicken and they do make a good one. They also have a week end buffet that has a TON of food! You can't leave hungry!

“Buttermilk Biscuits are divine, but costly...”
Reviewed January 1, 2012

Buttermilk Biscuits are divine... chicken is good... the prices a bit steep for a family dinner. We spent 50 dollars on 2 adults and 2 kids.

“Great Staff”
Reviewed December 29, 2011

Our waiter was rushed off his feet, poor bloke, but still managed to give excellent service.

Great food, very filling and not too expensive. The history of the family is one of hope and a good lesson in today's economic climate.

“Not worth the wait”
Reviewed December 29, 2011

My family and I spent the day at Knott's and decided to have dinner at this restaurant. We waited almost an hour and half to eat. I was intrigued because I had heard about this place by word of mouth. The chicken was mediocre. Very thin coating of batter. The bread tasted weird, kind of like old flour was used. The chicken soup was lukewarm, but it tasted okay. The salad was drenched in dressing. My son had the rib dish--looked like it was bought at the market prepackaged. Tasted so-so. The pumpkin pie for dessert was okay. Overall, don't waste your time here. Go eat somewhere else. It's all hype and not worth waiting in line for such a long time. Also, the bathrooms are dirty and smelly. I would much rather have eaten at KFC.

“Pleasantly surprised by Christmas-themed Sunday brunch”
Reviewed December 26, 2011

I have eaten at Mrs. Knott's many times over the past 30+ years (I grew up nearby), but until a couple of weeks ago, had never experienced the Sunday brunch there. I was pleasantly surprised; I knew it would be good, but I found that it rivaled the character brunches at the Disneyland Resort, food quality wise. There was a great selection of both breakfast and lunch dishes, plus a huge dessert bar, a shrimp cocktail display (complete with Christmas tree shaped ice sculpture), unlimited boysenberry punch, and, best of all, Snoopy was there! (What can I say? I'm a kid at heart!) The food was a good variety of Knott's specialties (fried chicken, freshly baked biscuits, boysenberry pie, and their yummy but hardly ever talked about cherry rhubarb), Mexican dishes (beans, Spanish rice, salsa, etc.), "Thanksgiving-style" food (turkey, DELICIOUS dressing, real gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans), and a couple of tables full of desserts. (Try the cupcakes...so cute, and so good!). Snoopy makes the rounds during the meal, so you can take your kids' pictures with him (or have your picture taken with him!). The brunch buffet is served in the Mrs. Knott's restaurant, in a seperate area from where the meals off the usual menu are served...be sure to go around the side of the restaurant; I did not know this beforehand, and ended up waiting an additional half hour to be seated. The dining room has stained glass windows and a waterfall & was decorated nicely for the holidays. At $19.99 (less if you're a Knott's annual pass holder), this brunch is a total bargain. I will definitely go back again next year!
