We were less than impressed with this hotel this trip.
1. We were on the 3rd floor. I have a disability and can not walk stairs. As long as there is an elevator, I am ok.... however - 30 minutes after we checked in, the elevator went out. I was stuck on the 3rd floor with a stroller. The front desk employee said there's nothing wrong with the elevator and that there must be some kids playing a prank and that's why it's not working. My husband walked all 3 levels and checked the elevator. It was stuck in the open position on the first floor. No kids playing pranks. It was broken. We asked to be moved to a lower level room. The front desk employee said she would see if she could move us and leave us a message on our room phone later that night. We were there for 4 nights and never got a message or were moved. Yes, the elevator was eventually fixed, but this caused me a great deal of discomfort on my vacation.
#2 - Also on our first night, while in bed watching tv, we saw 2 cockroaches run across the floor. Talk about disgusting. We wore our shoes in the hotel room the rest of the vacation.
#3 - the free breakfast is free for a reason..... it is horrible. throwing a loaf a bread on the counter near a toaster along with a bowl of soft tangelos and some packaged danish. The butter for the toast, milk and OJ were in a mini fridge under the counter. No sign telling you it was there...... If I didn't go snooping, I wouldn't have found it.
#4 - Carpets in room are NASTY - my 3 year old had just gotten out of the shower and ran into the room to get dressed....... he jumped onto the bed and as I was dressing him I noticed his feet were black. He had only walked from the vanity area to the opposite side of the bed. We made sure we had socks and/or shoes on the rest of the stay. When wearing socks, the bottoms of them were black. Nasty nasty carpets.
The only positive about this stay was the bed was actually fairly comfortable.
I was very disappointed in this hotel this time around. We have stayed here at least 3-4 times in the last few years.
