My husband and mom took me here for my birthday as a surprise, and none of us knew what to expect. We figured it would be pretty cheesy, but fun. However, it was way better than we even hoped! The show was engaging from start to finish (as opposed to Medieval Times, which starts off with a whimper and ends with a bang) and the actors are talented and personable. There is singing, dancing, audience participation, fog machines, cirque du soleil-style performances, and pretty good food to boot.
We came with our 4 year old and 2 year old. They were a little scared at first, because of the giant skull that is hanging at the entrance to the arena, and the eerie lighting, but the show is not scary itself, so they soon sat rapt as the Pirates appeared.
All in all, a super fun evening, albeit slightly expensive. But it's Southern California, home of the overpriced attractions, so it's expected. I would way rather go here again than Medieval Times.
