“An okay amusement park”
Reviewed June 24, 2009

There is a small variety of rides than at some parks but it has a lot of basic trills. What is unusual is the variety of unusual food at the property. If you like boysenberry you will find every option that is made!

“Not bad if you know what to expect.”
Reviewed June 5, 2009

Okay, I have read reviews about Knott's and some things I can agree on It does become rather crowded at times. But it's an amusement park in southern California! What do you expect? The staff can be a little in to themselves yes but a majority of the staff is tremendously friendly. It can also be very expensive so I recommend going outside the park to get lunch, dinner etc. If you complain about the size of the park take this into mind, when it was built it wasn't planned to be a huge park, it was just a small attraction area. They don't have much room to build on so they try to make the best of it. All in all if you go on a weekday you should be able to beat the crowds and get better service.

“Lots of unaccompanied school kids!”
Reviewed May 21, 2009

We visited Knotts for a day on 20th May & the first disappointment was that the new coaster Pony Express was not working. We were told it was down for maintenance but we overheard a member of staff saying they were light on crew that day. Also Xcelerator & montesumas revenge broke down which meant there were three coasters out of action. The whole park was also full of school kids on day trips & they seemed to be left to run unruly through the park. We watched the Wild West show at midday which was really good & the highlight of the day. We left the park at about 1 o'clock. We will not visit again prefering to spend our hard earned cash with Disney!.

“Good Day - Well Worth a Visit”
Reviewed May 9, 2009

We visited Knotts Berry in April 2009 and were surprised how quiet the park was.

The style of the park is brilliant. We really enjoyed the day.

We were disappointed that the park is themed on Snoopy, who we did not get to see throughout the day - although the marketing and merchandising is plastered with him.

There were a few of the bigger rides closed, which appeared to occur throughout the 2 weeks that we were there (we passed by regularly and different rides appeared to be closed each time we passed).

The Ghostrider Cafe was brilliant, the food and service was very good. Expecting the normal theme park food, we were delighted to get a proper meal.

For those visiting with babies, check out the baby centre, which has a microwave in it to warm up baby food, a changing station and a nursing area (and a very 'odd' cleaning lady!).

Overall an excellent park to visit, with something for everyone.

We spent a day at Knotts after a few days at Disneyland which was probably a mistake as it seemed cheap and tacky in comparision. Having said that we had a fun day. It was very hot and school had gone back so it was quiet and there were no long lines. My kids (aged 7, 8 and 11) and I were able to enjoy the wet rides and the rides in Camp snoopy however most of the rollercoasters etc did not allow my smaller children on due to height restrictions so there were a lot of attractions we could not experience.
It was good to have a slower day after the manic Disney days. We finished the day at Medieval Times which was great fun!
