“Ostriches are Mean!”
Reviewed March 31, 2014

We were amazed at how aggressive the birds were. They hiss, spit, attack, and are kind of gross. They are a cross between a bird and a reptile. A throw back to the dinosaur times. It was an intriguing adventure. If you feed them, have a strong grip on the pan and keep your fingers out of the way. It is an odd place with odd birds. Worth checking out, for a quick visit.

“Interesting, but kind of a rip off”
Reviewed February 20, 2014

You can feed the ostriches but is will cost you. To look at them up close will cost you. The gift shop has some interesting items but that will cost you as well. I would maybe stop and look through the fence (unless your kids really want to feed the birds) then head to Ballard to the miniature donkey farm. It also has a large turkey, goats, chickens of various kinds, a zonkey (zebra/donkey) and you only pay a donation. The miniature horse farm on Alamo Pintado Rd. near Solvang is also worth visiting and doesn't cost anything.

“Cool to feed the big birds”
Reviewed February 6, 2014

Really cool to see these big birds up close and fed them too! Young kids were enjoying it as well as seniors. Short visit but very cool!

“Silly Fun”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

It's a campy quirky roadside stop. We stayed about 30 minutes, fed some really big kinda scary birds and made a memory.

“Cool place to take kids”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

I guess I've never seen my 9yo kid laugh so hard as when he was trying to hold on to the bowl while these "monsters" fought for the food in it... Totally worth the stop! There's not much to do other than feeding the birds, so it doesn't take more than 30 minutes for the visit, but it's still way worth it.
