Passing through the area and was looking for some place for lunch. We found the restaurant on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a chance. So glad we did! Pizza was fantastic as well as the service. Definitely will remember this place.

We were staying at the Virginia Creek Settlement and decided to splurge on a pizza that would last us for a couple of days. It was hot, delicious and rivaled any pizza we have had (in fact, my pizzasaurus hubby said it was the best he had eaten, which says a lot). Not inexpensive but worth every penny.

Bridgeport's a little town, and the Virginia Creek Settlement restaurant is 13 miles south, right alongside Hwy 395. Your only other options are Lee Vining to the south, and Gardnerville to the north. So when you see a restaurant in pretty much the middle of nowhere, you thank your lucky stars. In all honesty I would call the food average, but the service--everyone, really, that we encountered at Virginia Creek Settlement--was beyond nice. And, again, options are limited.

For dinner (we stayed the night) we had the lighter-eater portion of lasagna and the full-on pork chop dinner. (The dinner portions are BIG--two pork chops, vegetables, bread, soup or salad, and mashed potatoes. And dessert! But on the back of the menu they have a section of "lighter portion" dinners that just come with the entree and soup, salad, OR dessert.) We really liked both dinners. We did not like the crab cakes starter, however. I would avoid those. If you've ever had crab cakes they will only make you cry.

For breakfast the next day we had tea, coffee, OJ, an omelette (on the bland side, but considering our low-salt restrictions, that was probably for the best), and French toast. The French toast wasn't eggy at all, or seasoned like FT. It was fine, but would not order it again. Would have loved a bit more coffee, but so it goes.

Pizzas are really tasty and with lot of ingredients. Also they are very big, so consider to take one and share.
