Arrived at what can only be described as a demolition site. We booked this hotel many months ago and we were not made aware in advance that the hotel is going to be a building site.

On arrival a small sign saying work due- which is the understatement of the year.

The Health and safety is non existent - guests tripping over the plywood flooring left out for the diggers to drive on as they enter through the main entrance.

The dust which is in the air throughout the building is definately a health hazard as it could trigger reaction in a susceptible individual.

Lost for words! Have tapped 1 out of 5 as tripadvisor will not allow a zero score. I would speak to the manager but I can even speak to the front desk without having to wait for the digger noise to stop.

There is much about the Embassy Suites in Brea that will remind you of the Embassy Suites experience around the world. A courtyard style hotel, 2-room suites, made-to-order breakfast, etc. It's a terrific experience and a good value.

This particular location is distinctive because of its staff. The front desk staff listened carefully to the details of our complex reservation (a wedding with multiple rooms and guest arriving at different times and blah blah blah) and not only attended cheerfully to the non-standard requests, but were able also to anticipate our preferences. Well done.

The staff are remarkably friendly. Even the staff busing the tables in the breakfast area were cheerful and engaged. Wow.

The facility itself is under renovation. (During our visit, they were emptying the fish from the indoor pond and removing the plants to prepare for a face lift.) To come back for a new review in a few months would make a lot of sense.

The only complaint that we have was the loud (noisy) air conditioning unit in our room (431).

As for the location: It is located on Birch Avenue, between the Brea Mall and Target. Easy shopping all around. You're within walking distance of Craig Park (0.7 mi and worth the trip). There is underground free parking at the hotel.

The WiFi is reasonably, fast, ubiquitous, and included in the room rate.

Enjoy.

Comfortable room with minor issues, center area is under renovation so water feature was green and planters were bare. Decent made to order omlette station, needed more bus service for the tables. Great parking and location. Devin took care of us with a great attitude. We will be back.

The decor is a little outdated, but it looks like they're updating. The breakfast buffet was excellent, however, there doesn't seem to be enough staff to clean up. We ate at a dirty table twice during our four day stay.
Bridgette at the Front Desk is amazing.
