We had an assortment of dishes (guacamole, carnitas, tostadas) and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The place seems rather basic (plastic table cloths etc) but the food is well prepared and the service is prompt and attentive (with a smile).

Carmelita's is the perfect place to re-charge after a day of hiking in Anza-Borrego Park. The food is tasty and plentiful, and the price is right. We enjoyed the enchiladas verde.The margaritas hit the spot too. It's a friendly, casual place and the service is good.

This place came recommended by the staff at our Rv park. The food was pretty good with good sized portions. My only complaint was the service. We felt like we were inconviencing the waitress. After she delivered our food, we never saw her again. Our bill for a party of 4 was $70.00. Not exactly fast food prices. Service is better at Denny's

this was a fun place to have dinner. We didnt have to wait long. This was a good meal and nice atmosphere. We had the grilled chicken with chipolte sauce . They had no clue for gluten free in the town. so be warned.

Food was good. We ate dinner there after a long day. Servings were large and food was good and there is beer on tap. It is in a small mall so there is no view to speak of. Atmosphere was casual and friendly. Appeared that this was a restaurant where the locals eat. Service was attentive.
