Great romantic getaway in the middle of the Mendocino wine country. This bed and breakfast was the perfect place to stop mid a wine country tour. The staff made you feel like part of the family. Diner at 128 in the hotel, a prix fixe meal, was a wonderful gourmet experience and included freshly picked produce from the hotel's garden on the grounds. Choose one of the tables by the fire place. On the grounds there are multiple private seating areas, some with fire pits that allow you to take a drink from the bar and relax or all the rooms have private balconies if you want more privacy.

We stayed at the Boonville Hotel on a little road trip for my 30th birthday last week. We hadn't made reservations because it was a Thursday night and I had been checking that it was very open that night, which seems to be a rarity. We lucked out and got to explore the entire property and all of the available rooms. The rooms within the original hotel are great, but we chose to stay out in one of the out buildings instead. It was perfect. The property is so beautiful, yet unassuming from the front o the hotel. They have an amazing garden and large back patio. We felt so at home.

After exploring Anderson valley for the next few days, we were even more certain that this is the only place to stay. This hotel isn't your standard hotel experience- it is so much more unique than that. The morning we left I enjoyed my freshly made scones and coffee in a steaming hot, outdoor, claw foot tub. Seriously- life doesn't get any better. I can't wait to go back.

Make sure you don't pass up dinner at the hotel- it is simply delicious no matter what they are making. And check out Libby's in Philo- amazing mexican food, coming from a native San Diegan- that is a high bar to meet but Libby's meets it.

Everything about the Boonville Hotel is amazing. The rooms are unique, the grounds are spectacular, the food is top-notch, and the staff is wonderful and accommodating. Do not pass on the fix prixe dinner. They use ingredients from their own garden out back; everything is fresh and original.

My husband and I traveled to the Anderson Valley for an overnight (from the Bay Area) and were not disappointed in our choice to stay at the Boonville Hotel! The property is amazing, the owner has done an incredible job creating beautiful spaces (inside and out), herb garden, seating areas etc. We stayed in the Pumphouse and were so glad we did given the hot weather (the Pumphouse has air conditioning!) The view from our room was beautiful (gardens) and peaceful, and since situated off the main road, we had no road noise. As a side note, we did eat dinner at their restaurant (Table 128), and it was amazing - every last detail was perfection! Our overnight definitely cost us more than the typical, however this is not your typical hotel or restaurant! I would always assume you pay more for the extra special places...like Boonville Hotel!

My wife and I stayed at the Boonville hotel in July. We were in the Pumphouse room. We loved the simple and tasteful room. The deck off the back was probably our favorite part. We drank a bottle of wine and watched the sun set behind the mountains and the beautiful gardens. We had dinner as well which we also enjoyed very much. Gus the cat is a cute little guy. They are trying to keep our room pet free so we couldn't invite him in for a cuddle but we got to give him a few scratches behind the ears. The next morning we had a yummy continental breakfast and then unfortunately had to move on. We'll be back.

As mentioned by other reviewers - no TV, radio, coffe pots, mini fridge ... as normally had in a normal hotel/motel. Breakfast is late, 8:30, but the homemade scones are great, as is the fruit and apple juice. Had dinner there one night - excellent. Spacious grounds, interesting design in the small cottage. No pool. Would recommend, it's the only place in town.
