Be sure to notice the bird cages in the side yard and the lacy curtains in the windows with a bird pattern. So funny! Glad the owner is in on the fun. If you have seen the movie and are driving by, stop here for the fun of it. Get out your phones and look up "the birds" on utube and relive the school scene while sitting right where it was filmed.

Beautiful building! And it looks like it did in The Birds. I just drove past it for a peek. It not a museum and is private. Keep in mind that Bodega and Bodega Bay are two separate towns. This school is in Bodega, but the street where the kids ran from the school toward the water (in the movie) is in Bodega Bay. The little row of shops just down the hill in Bodega was worth a quick stop, too.

Glad we stopped in Bodega (not Bodega Bay) to see this beautiful building. It was used in Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds flick. It's a private residence now and looks like the new owners are restoring it. Love the architecture from this time. If you have time, it's worth the short drive to see this for yourself. There's also an antique store across the street (if open).

We drove by and took pictures. It is close to the road, so it is worth taking a peek at this landmark.

the film is a favourite of course the magical Hitchcock, the byrds fabulous, I love rod taylor... anyway stopped at bodega bay for a night and popped here for about half an hour, took all the iconic shots of the school and including the church - where the children ran to - church is a beautiful photo opportunity too. took some of the telegraph wires too - but not sure the byrds actually perched here !!! the little bodega bay store is just like the film - lots of Hitchcock and film memories and they are happy for you to go in and wander around and take photos. of course there are mugs and the likes that you can buy too.

if you are a fan of the film and in the area do this little detour.
