Description: Great food, friendly service and spectacular views await you at Lucas Wharf Restaurant in Bodega Bay. We are a waterfront seafood restaurant on the beautiful Sonoma Coast, about 1-1/2 hours north of San Francisco and just minutes away from the wine country. We have a cozy lounge with a fireplace and a patio for outside dining. From your dinner table you might see the local fishermen unloading their catch on our dock while sea lions play in the water below and pelicans sail by overhead. We offer a large selection of seafood choices, plus steaks, pastas and vegetarian options. We have several unique signature dishes (calamari!) And delicious, seasonal dinner specials. We have a full bar and proudly feature premium Sonoma County wines and local draft beers. So, for either a romantic sunset dinner, a quick bite on your way through town or after a lazy day at the beach with the kids, visit Lucas Wharf Restaurant, family owned and operated since 1984.

“Quality, Quantity and Service”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

You don't go to Bodega Bay for a steak. You go for seafood. And Lucas Wharf has a good, fresh selection, carefully prepared - and great service to boot.

It's not white tablecloth service, but the quantity and quality outshine the decor. The Fisherman's Stew is packed with flavor (and frankly, more than the average person can consume in one sitting. The fried combo plate is massive (the oysters are the size of a child's fist) and surprisingly ungreasy. All the pasta dishes are good (my wife loves the linguine with clam sauce). And the rockfish perfectly prepared. Wild salmon in season is not to be missed.

Full bar, drink specials and a good (but not huge) wine list. The view is quaint (overlooking the wharf) and the occasional seal or windsurfer makes it a little more interesting.

If you're looking for a good seafood meal, you can't go wrong at Lucas Wharf.

“Fresh seafood and a great view of Bodega Bay”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

Had dinner with friends at Lucas Wharf during a short trip up the coast. Although the restaurant had gotten mixed reviews, we decided to try it because there are not many choices open in Bodega Bay on a Monday. Other than for the hostess who was inept at handling her job, the dining experience was very nice. The hostess insisted on seating the four of us at a very small table in a back corner of the dining room even though several tables were in the process of clearing. After squishing into our tight seats, we asked if we could be moved to a larger nearby table. Initially she said 'no' - that the next party was going to be seated there. When we suggested that we had arrived before the other party, she relented and seated us at the larger table. While she ruined the beginning of our meal, the rest of the evening went very smoothly. We all enjoyed the various dishes we ordered and our server was excellent. The wine list was just okay which is sort of surprising given how close the several wine regions the restaurant is. We loved the wide open, high-ceilinged room and the view from the large picture windows, we enjoyed the food and we found the service to be very pleasant and efficient. We would go there again.

“Wife's Birthday Dinner”
Reviewed September 3, 2013 via mobile

It had been many years since we had eaten here and decided to try it again while exploring the coast for my wife's birthday. We sat out on the patio and were immediately attended to for drinks and appetizers. Once we moved to out entree, we were impressed and both the selection and freshness of the dishes. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We will be back on our next visit.

“Fish and Chips! The place to get em!”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

This is the place to get F&C and or calamari. Quick in and out and prices are just what you would expect. Bring a coat in case of fog. Outside seating and view is what's happening here.
