GREAT food, very fair prices, excellent service! If you read the menu on-line, be sure to look at the Mexican side of the Lunch or Diner menu. You'll find some GREAT items there!

“High-Quality Seafood/Mexican Restaurant”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

My wife and I got orders of ceviche and BBQ oysters. The ceviche which we split was classic Mexican and very tasty, even though the ceviche was a bit heavy on the lime. Finding ceviche is not easy to find, as some Americans aren't familiar with it and others seem to fear that it is simply raw fish; restaurants about whom we've asked have said that they just don't sell enough. There is no visible reason to worry about the fish being bad; my wife and I have eaten ceviche at several dozen restaurants, most of them in Mexico, and have never had a problem. The lime essentially cooks the fish. People interested in variety of food tastes should definitely try it and they are highly likely to order it, usually as an appetizer, when they can find it. We also split a half dozen BBQ oysters, and both of us thought it was very good even though new to us. The oysters were cooked in heavy BBQ sauce as if they were ribs, and we look forward to trying them again. We had a good New England Clam Chowder as well. Our friend had more traditional Guanajauto Style chile relleno with two cheese enchiladas. She liked them both, except that she received too much food for her abilities. The waitperson, the man of the owning couple while the woman cooked, was very eager to help in every respect. The only minor problem we had was that lunch was to be served at 11:00 a.m. but was not yet open when we arrived at 11:35. I stuck my head in the kitchen to ask about the status and he promised to open in a few minutes, which he did. I doubt they need to list opening at eleven. The building is very nice with wide windows to watch traffic go by on Highway and lots of tables by them. By the way, the menu is unusually appealing for a casual restaurant, both on the Internet and in the restaurant.

“We will be back!”
Reviewed August 6, 2012

We read previous reviews and decided to give this a try. As others have stated, it appears to be a family restaurant and they all work well together and give excellent service. The food was outstanding. We had the grilled red snapper with chipotle cream sauce & the shrimp & crab enchilada and split both. House wines were $5/glass - pretty reasonable. They do have a lite dinner menu from 3:00-5:30 that has different items on the menu. We will definitely be back whenever we are in Bodega Bay!

“Excellent Mexican Food”
Reviewed July 25, 2012

Our RV club stayed at the camp ground just behind this handy restaurant. We all decided to eat there. It was very good. The service was pretty good as well. My enchiladas and tamale were excellent. The chile relleno was a bit greasy; but good flavor. The bread was good. They do need to add chips and salsa to their menu. Then it would have been perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant.
