Went there on a Thursday night with a friend. There isn't much happening at the front of the restaurant but once you pass that and go though the corridor you end up in their little garden which is actually quite big set up with lounges and tables. We ordered a berry shisha straight away and wanted food as well but we're told we couldn't have shisha and food at the same time as it is illegal in Australia. ..which is funny cause the friend I was with was there a week ago and it wasn't a problem..but we still ordered food and ate and then had the shisha. We each had a sampler with 2 meats which come with rice grilled tomato chilli pepper. It was yummy and huge :) we also had the yogurt and cucumber dip which was very refreshing. The shisha is really good too. I found that in some places they are a bit harsh and I end up with a massive headache. The plus od this place is you can BYO so my friend and I chilled for 4 hours. It was very good!

We visited on a friday night, intending on a relaxed evening. This is exactly what we got.

From the front Safa City looks very unassuming, almost empty as you walk in the front door. However once you navigate through to get to the back garden, it really opens up.
Large raised lounges to your left. Open air tables spaced out in front. Then a large white marquee with tables further down.

The staff were very quick to find us a table, and sort us out with menus and advice. Safa City is BYO (with a $3 corkage per person), which is great.

The shisha was great, with the staff regularly checking on the coals and topping it up. The food was simply divine. We ordered a mixed platter to share amongst us as we weren't sure what to choose. Best choice ever. WE sampled the different meats/kebabs and dips.

Really good atmosphere, service and quality food.

Had a great evening at Safa City informal Persian restaurant on Walcott St, Mt Lawley. The most delicious food and more than we could eat at very affordable price. A lovely atmosphere - not noisy, live music and very friendly service - felt like we were eating with family! A novel dining experience and will certainly go again.
