I took my family (6 total) to Bishop for the Mule Days weekend and stayed at this hotel. We usually stay at the Holiday Inn but stayed at this hotel to be closer to friends and to the fair grounds. First the challenging. I made the reservations months in advance for 2 adjoining rooms. I called to confirm the week prior and was told everything was ready. When we arrived they had only 1 room reserved with a king bed. While I enjoy the king bed it isn't great for a family of 6. I had a print out of the reservation confirmation and mentioned that I had confirmed it a week earlier but the person at the front desk appeared uninterested. Thankfully, he was able to secure a second room for us so my growing anxiety was resolved but the two rooms were far apart. This is a challenge when you are traveling with 4 small children! The rooms were decent and the location to the fair grounds was great. It was a busy weekend so parking was challenging but overall aside from the reservation issues this was a serviceable hotel. Had they not found that second room this review and our entire holiday weekend would have been a nightmare.

Room Tip: Rooms close to the street tend to be very noisy from the traffic on highway 395. Also, in room air c...

This was a nice place to stay for a night. Strong wifi, nice breakfast. Nice bedding and room was squeaky clean. Only quibble was loud noise of neighbor rooms's plumbing when they woke up very early to shower. Otherwise, great.

As we like Best Western hotels, generally, we stopped at this one. The room was nice and
the desk clerk was also. The lady in charge of the breakfast room spoke no English at all.
Checking the internet, I found comparable hotels for less money, but we chose to stay here
anyway because of their $50. stay three separate time promotion. Turns out our first two
stays in Tucson didn't count. Rooms were nice, clean, and breakfast choices were quite
adequate. The laundromat and soap for sale at the desk was much appreciated.

Room Tip: There is no restaurant on sight, but there is are several in the close area. We chose a room closer...

On my drive to Reno, NV, I stopped for the night in Bishop. The hotel was a welcoming and comfortable place to spend the night. Warmly greeted by the manager at check in, he told me a bit about the hotel and Bishop. He was warm and friendly.

The ground floor room was clean and nicely appointed, and included a small microwave and refrigerator. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was functional and clean. No distracting noise was heard from adjoining rooms.

The Best Western Plus is conveniently located at the north end of Bishop, and within walking distance to many dining and enterininment spots in Bishop. It should be on your list of places to stay when visiting the Eastern Sierra.

Room Tip: Walking distance to most restaurants on the Bishop "strip."

On a drive from Sparks, Nevada, to Claremont, Calif., we made a planned stop at this motel. Nice. Clean. Good breakfast with eggs, waffles, sausages, bagels, etc., etc. Bishop is a good stop along the eastern Sierra Nevada for fishing, hiking, etc. Altogether, you can't go wrong with a visit to Bishop with a stay in this Best Western.

Room Tip: I can't give you a tip about choosing a good room, but I can suggest that you read the review by...

Ended up booking a last minute room here when travelling through Bishop en route to Yosemite. However we discovered that as the Tioga Pass was closed (does not open until May time) we would have to go another route to Yosemite which took an extra 250 miles on our journey which we did thoroughly enjoy though. Receptionist was very helpful on enquiring about room rates when we were calling into all local hotels which is why we ended up booking this. Room clean, comfy bed, plenty of eating places locally and we ended up going to the local cinema on the evening which was lovely as it was a proper old fashioned cinema. Breakfast had plenty to choose from. Loved this one road in one road out town. Loads of character and the views and surrounding scenery was memorable
