I often say to my wife, that when we eat at a restaurant where the plate is decorated, it means there's a chef, not a cook. And that I'll need to hit Del Taco after dinner because the fancy portions are too small. My meatloaf, one of their, 'traditions' was decorated and all prettied up, but very filling. All meatloafs seem to taste different. Bites of this were either overpowered with what I presume were peppercorns or a little bland. My wife requested no seasoning on her rib-eye. It still had a lot of pepper on it. After she wiped it off with a napkin she enjoyed it. Our waitress, Trina, was outstanding. Most in our section of the eatery were older couples. We were seated in half-circle booths designed to hold 4-6 adults. Most couples wound up scooting to the middle of the seating. That just was not conducive to comfortable conversation. It had you facing into the restaurant, instead of facing the one you were eating with. The food consisted of the entree and a very generous portion of very good mashed potatoes. And, as has been pointed out, the prices charged are higher than those quoted at their website, which were already pretty steep.
