“The real deal!”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

The eastern Sierra doesn't offer much to foodies, but I think this might be the best bet. It's basically a shack in front of a trailer park. They make their own buns, their own ice cream, and have an extensive menu and cook everything to order. A diamond in the rough and the closest thing to a foodie experience in Bishop.

“Home Made Ice Cream”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

YES, they actually have real, home-made ice cream, and many flavors! Order your burger and ice cream, then take it to the loft area over looking the street. Misters and everything!

“Great quirky burger joint!”
Reviewed June 10, 2013 via mobile

A little out of town but worth it. A very quirky place With great food. They have a huge menu but we went for the burgers. They were really tasty and made to your specifications. The fries and sweet potato fries were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. This is a must try place.

“Burgers and Buns from scratch. A hidden gem!”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

This restaurant is a bit hidden, but well worth finding! The couple who runs Burger barn are great people, and all of the fresh food is delicious. The burgers and other seasonal options are quickly made from scratch and outshine any of the burgers you will find in local restaurants. If the weather is nice they also have outdoor seating with views of the beautiful sierras. Really a must see if you are on the west side!

“Best Burgers in Bishop!”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

My hubby and I stopped here for lunch after passing it by the last few times we have stayed in Bishop. What a find! Located on Line Street, right in front of a mobile home park, is the best darn burger in Bishop. The meat was exceptional and it's not a pre-made patty, they form their own. Store bought buns? No! They make their buns right there on the premises. Plain old bacon? No! Their bacon is mahoganey smoked bacon from Meadow Farms, sliced think and oh so flavorful. I got the "goods" which has bacon, blue cheese and all the regular fixings. You bite into that burger and you know you are not at McDonalds! They have onion rings, french fries and sweet potato fries. All are homemade, not frozen. We had the sweet potato fries and they were delish! If you have room, they also make their own ice cream and it is so good. You can taste the fresh ingredients and it is so creamy. Good customer service too. They have lots of other things on the menu and we can't wait to go back to try them. Don't pass by The Burger Barn - it's a real gem!
