“Amazing sandwich!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 24, 2011

We have been looking for a good place to eat in Bishop for a long time. We found this place by accident, downtown. The decor and service were eclectic and fun. My sandwich was their take on a French Dip. It was wonderful and amazing! The horseradish sauce made the entire sandwich. Love this place!

“Great find in Bishop”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2011

My husband and I loved this place! Such a refreshing change from greasy Mexican food. Their attitude is a kick. Good food, exciting to have so many vegetarian options. Be sure to try the Asian marinated tofu sandwich on pita. Delicious! And a few taps of good quality draft beer to boot.

“Never judge a restaurant by the flys in the french fries.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2011

We went to Raymond's because my husband has pretty good instincts for restaurants. Raymond's is a former trekker coffee shop reconstituted as an in-your-face deli complete with bullet-pocked road signs, a tip jar labelled "bribes," and admonishments to bus your own table. The bathrooms, husband and daughter tell me, have lengthy missives pinned to the door regarding one's fate if you use the facilities and buy nothing in return. Despite the rather double-dare greeting the literate receive upon entering, Raymond's is a friendly, quality and clean (the flies buzz, they're not part of the batter) place to get breakfast or a sandwich. It is open until 6pm each day. I don't recall weekends. We got club sandwiches, a Reuben, and a Greek salad-- all were spectacular. You can eat in the rather dim interior, or you can hustle outside and grab one of the three tables with chairs that look like leftovers from a Salvation Army used sale. If you cannot bring yourself to park your butt on one of the chairs, get take-out and go sit in the park 5 blocks down the street. Don't be put off by the sarcastic signs and the décor that suggests an under-30 crowd only: this is the real deal for sandwiches and the staff know what they're doing. Bribe them well.
