“The best part of a bad business trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2014

45 Minutes into the appointment, I KNEW this aspect of a business trip turned into a disaster.

When I learned of the URL, I had to check it out.

I'm glad I did. This place was not at all bad. Comfortable, glean and superb WiFi access (although it is not wired for 21st century business in that there were no available plugs near the desk.) I got a great deal on it and really enjoyed staying here.

Let me start by saying their website is hilarious and you should stay here based on that alone - thebestmotelever . com

We had been camping (in Winter) so were so happy to be staying indoors, somewhere warm. The WiFi was good, the room was comfortable, clean and cheap. The owner was friendly. Have no complaints, this is a great place if you're after budget accommodation.

this was the last day/night of our trip (ghost town adventures) before heading home. A great place to stay no frills but very clean, comfortable and quiet. The room has a fridge and there is a continental breakfast (cold cereal, muffins, toast, juice and coffee). There are many places to eat around Bishop and things to see and do. If you are traveling the 395 and need a pace for a night with a reasonable price go to the Mountain View. Very friendly staff......... you will be pleased.

We stayed 3 nights here and paid a great rate. The room was exceptionally clean, and the service was quick and very friendly. There was a continental breakfast that went until 10 am, which was very generous, and the housekeeper suggested heating the pastries, and she was right, they were much better that way. We had no problem getting wireless internet, nor did we encounter any of the problems listed by a few reviewers. I think the manager is correct when he says that some people are just difficult and nothing makes them happy. We were very happy and would stay there again.

Cheap and cheerful, nice friendly owner.

Basic but very clean rooms. Decent wifi and fridge in room.

We stayed here on way from Vegas to Yosemite and it was perfect location.

Would recommend as a stopover, but don't expect 5-star service (what do you expect for $50-60 a night?).

We used this motel as a stop over from Las Vegas to Lake Tahoe. The motel room was clean the bed was comfortable, toiletries were supplied it also had a fridge and hair dryer. The check in was easy and the staff were friendly. A type of continental breakfast was supplied from a help yourself room near the pool danish pastries toast and coffee. There is free wifi in all areas. Slightly off the beaten track but within easy walking distance to the main street for shops and restaurants, at the far end of the main street there is a large supermarket. Considering the cost of other accommodation in the area this is well worth the stay and I would have no problem staying again.

I'm not sure why so many other reviewers were expecting "Hilton"-like amenities at one of the least expensive places in Bishop (a fairly expensive resort town)... This is a typical low/mid-price motel. The room was clean, the bed was bug-free and comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked fine in our room (we were near the front), the bathroom was basic but fine, and the manager/staff went out of their way to be helpful. We didn't bother with the breakfast, as we left early. Excellent value for money -- but if you want luxury, you should stay somewhere more expensive and fancier (this place is not pretending to be anything other than what it is). I would stay here again without hesitation.
