Whyteleafe travelodge is really easy to find on the A22. It is also situated so close to the train station (Whyteleafe South) that it is within walking distance, even if you have a number of bags or suitcases.

We were welcomed by a lovely staff member in reception having parked in the travelodge car park. Please note that it costs £3 a day to park there.

Our room was small but from the perspective of s disabled guest, it was really well laid out. The twin beds were far enough apart to allow for a wheelchair and the bathroom was brilliant.

The shower had a flip down seat and the toilet, sink and even the hand soap dispenser were all at the right height for someone in a wheelchair. There were plenty of grab rails all round the bathroom which was very helpful.

In the main part of the room, there was just about enough space to turn and the bed was a bit low but still easily accessible and very comfortable.

We did call ahead to ensure that it was a ground floor room with disabled bathroom. We spoke to a lovely receptionist and she assured us that our booking had gone through with this information from the website.

It was surprisingly quiet overnight although there were some guests from a wedding who came in quite late but they settled down really quickly. It was very reassuring to have a member of staff available 24 - 7 but the vending machine and the swipe card entry system were broken.

Breakfast was conveniently served until 11am as it was a weekend. There was a huge amount of choice. Lots of breakfast cereals, yoghurts, croissants, granola and also a hot food selection including bacon, sausage, beans, hash browns, and mushrooms. There was a machine for hot drinks and a cold drink dispenser including orange juice and apple juice.

Considering we spent £7:95 each as part of our booking, it seemed like money well spent because we really enjoyed our breakfast and it was so convenient.

The Hotel is well-placed for trips into central London using public transport. The train station had frequent services into London Victoria and London Bridge. We could easily access either platform at the station because of the level Crossing nearby.

I was particularly impressed by the kindness of the travelodge staff. They were polite, thoughtful, considerate and kind. My only complaint is that the room swipe cards didn't work very often. We were issued with 2 upon arrival but they had to be re-issued a number of times.
Highly recommended!

Stayed at this Hotel for one night to attend a family birthday party as it was close to the venue. We will not be staying there again or until it has been upgraded to an acceptable standard. All in all not a very pleasant stay.

Very welcoming, cheerful staff and modern rooms a delight for both ourselves and our dog! All very clean and relaxing. A great stop over with access to shopping centres, restaurants and motorways.
Would like to have seen the 'outside' of the building with cleaner brighter paintwork on the walls....it just looked a little 'tattie' but ignoring that, it was not inside!

Booked room last night for myself and wife unfortunately my wife couldn't make it, luckily its just as well, although rooms have vastly improved since a last visit some two years ago, the rooms are very sparse, with no easy chair just a table chair, only one hand towel and no bath mat so had to use spare towel. Mind you bed was very comfortable and had a very good nights sleep and ideally situated for motorway.will use again and would recommend, just feels empty when in room
