Quaint, friendly tea rooms set in a village location
Arrived here with 3 friends on a very cold winter afternoon at 2.30pm.
Greeted with a warm and friendly good afternoon upon entering and the great friendly service continued throughout our visit.
Offered a rug to warm us through and hot drinks whilst we pondered the menu and extensive specials board.
We all decided on homemade soup to start with, of which there were 4 choices and served with a warm soft roll
Substantial portions but didn't stop us from ordering homemade shin beef stew with Yorkshire puddings and Yorkshire rarebit......... Wonderful everything well cooked hot and being home made an absolute hit with our party.
After a rest we hovered toward the cake table, not being able to decide we were offered a slice of each on a tasting plate
I urge you to try this little place to have breakfast , lunch or just coffee and cake you will not be disappointed
Will be visiting again to sample afternoon tea as soon as we possibly can
