On your way to Yosemite via Highway 120, reward yourself for surviving Priest Grade or Old Priest Grade with a stop at the Priest Station Café for wonderful food and breathtaking views over the valley from the deck. Live locally and looking for a great spot for lunch or dinner?? Don’t forget the Priest Station Café. The hamburgers are excellent, the homemade soups are wonderful, and they offer an interesting selection of specialty meals nightly.

It looks like a regular pit stop/dive, but the owners take care to bring some quality food to the table. My roast beef sandwich was not from processed slices of pink roast beef but from real, juicy hand cuts. I was surprised -- the modest look of the restaurant belies the quality of the food. The soup was definitely homemade, too. This is a nice sandwich/burgers place to stop at and the servers were very friendly. It might not knock your socks off, especially if you're from a foodie city like San Francisco or New York City, but it's definitely nice and very satisfying.

This is a small restaurant with a great view. It serves all homemade dishes with an emphasis on burgers and sandwiches. There is a German style flair to the cooking. The restaurant is situated on a ridge with outdoor seating and great views. There is a small but adequate beer and wine list. The service is friendly and efficient. My wife and I shared a BALT and the bratwurst plate, both were great. The sides were all fresh and homemade. The clam chowder was bright in flavor and very good. The burgers served at the next table looks great and we are looking forward to coming back and working our way through the menu. There are even a couple of cabins to rent if you need a place to spend the night.

Great place to stop. The food is great, and sitting on the deck it doesn't get any better. The view, over looking the road you just came up, is very relaxing. We have stopped here quit a few times, on our way to Yosemite. The potato salad, onion rings, and home made chips are great compliments to lunch. We have not had breakfast, or dinner as of this review.

Once you try it, you'll be back, I believe.
