Located right on Big Bear Blvd., this tiny restaurant is frequented by locals and tourists. Good home cooked food at reasonable prices. The place is small and gets really packed. Be prepared for a short wait at times. They are open for breakfast and lunch.

My husband and I have been going here for the past 5 years and can not go up to Big Bear without eating our meal here! Huge portions, great food, fun to read all the stickers everywhere and laugh, service is quick, staff is very very friendly and are as genuine as they come.
If you want to go back in time and enjoy the real thing, go here!!!!

The Grizzly Manor Cafe is one of those hole in the wall kind of places that you find all too seldom. Waiting outside to get in is very common, but it is worth the wait. Locals enjoy the banter with the employees and pour their own coffee and most times pour for anybody there that drinks coffee. Tourists are not used to this, but it part of the friendly atmosphere. The only thing that might be considered negative is the wait for your food, but than that is what happens in any place that is very popular, large or small.

This is a really fun place to eat. The locals love it and it is always pretty busy in here. The walls are covered in stickers that make for some interesting reading. The staff and cook have a very relaxed attitude and joke with their customers (especially the locals) all the time.

The food is exactly what you expect when you walk in the door. Huge portions (the pancakes are enormous) and tasty - not health food for the most part :-) The prices are pretty average being $8-$10 for breakfast but given the size of the portions and the quality these prices are very reasonable.

I seem to remember a hefty charge for splitting meals. They definately encourage you to eat your own meal rather than sharing. My wife and I had no intention of sharing a breakfast and we both left a little on our plates but only because we couldn't get anything more inside us.

Love this place - I've eaten there two or three times now and it's my prefered place for breakfast in Big bear.

We checked out the place, and it was great. The food is huge and so is the humor of the staff. When in Big Bear don't miss out on the experience. It's down home cooking with down home service. We give it two thumbs up and plan to visit the Grizzly Manor soon!! You do need to get there early so you won't have the wait, but it's worth getting up extra early for.
