“Good food, bad service ”
Reviewed November 10, 2013 via mobile

On our anniversary weekend, we thought we'd give this place a try. It looked good from the outside so we figured what the heck....

After we were seated it took a waitress almost 10 mins to even notice that we were there ... the place wasn't even busy.

We ordered 2 glasses of wine that were served in small orange juice glasses. Really !?!? At an Italian restaurant !?!!!

So above all that, the food was actually good. However, because of the service we probably won't be going back for dining. Maybe takeout ????

“Italian Food find in Big Bear Village”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

Went here for a business dinner, was quickly seated, basket of bread brought over. We had 4 different entrees, Pizza, Cheese Ravioli, Fettuccini Alfredo, Chicken Marsala. All was pretty good. It was very decent food. My biggest issue (as with all restaurant's) is my drink in a plastic cup. They had the usual red plastic cups for Iced Tea & water. I just prefer glass and I think the glassware choice sets the tone for the restaurant's level. Service was good. We didn't ask for much since we were more involved in our business clients. Portions were not stingy nor over the top. I would go back again. It was nicely decorated for Halloween.

“Rude service”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

Food here is excellent but big lady waitress was RUDE!! Went in to make a to go order and she told us in a rude obnoxious tone that she had 6 tables to serve in house and could not take our order.... And she walked away! We didn't have a chance to say anything because she just turned on her heel and left us standing there! She was in a bad mood because she was the only one there and acted as if we were imposing on her to just place an order! Too bad I didn't catch her name but I have not experienced that kind of rudeness before. They need to do some courtesy training in that place!

“Authentic Italian food”
Reviewed July 8, 2013 via mobile

The restaurant is not fancy but the food is delicious. The baked clams made me feel like I was in New York eating at my favorite pizzeria. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The meat sauce, meat balls and sausage was great. The service is excellent. Louise has been working there forever and is super friendly. The patio is dog friendly. There is a full bar not just beer and wine

“The Wow Factor - You decide about Paoli's in Big Bear Lake”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

I live in Big Bear Lake as well as travel quite a bit. Decided to go to Paoli's Italian restaurant last night for some Italian food, sounded good. Just my wife and myself, I ordered the Meat Sauce plate and she had ordered the Pesto Pasta. Our bill can to $31, and we did not order drinks. The Wow factor is - Dinner (which we ordered) Does Not Come with salad of any kind, All salads most be ordered as a side dish thought pasta & salad are a given at all Italian restaurants. Meatballs not included, must pay extra, never did find the sausage in my Meat and Sausage dish. Just Pasta with no frills

My wife came home after dinner and got sick to her stomach - the Wow Factor!
The server was nice.
