Customer Service - ZREO
Food - ZERO
Value for Money Spent - ZERO
Friendly Staff Members - ZERO
Parking - HORRIBLE

Bear Mountain is owned by the same company so I suspect its not much different.

Locals in Big Bear have a bad attitude toward anybody who is from out of town. I think they hate their lives.

Save your money.

“For so-cal, great place to ski”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

I grew up skiing at snow summit as a kid living in Big Bear. I love that it is open nights for those who want a cold experience with no crowds. They also limit ticket sales, so even on a crazy day you won't be too long in the lines.

“Good local skiing”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

First trip to Snow Summit and was pleasantly surprised. The quality and quantity of the snow is no where near Mammoth or Heavenly, but the runs are nice and long and the short 2 hour drive from Los Angeles cant be beat. The staff there was friendly and outgoing. The lift lines were not too long. The variety of beginner and intermediate runs were good. Parking was already full by 8:20 A.M. The equipment rental places seemed really busy and I would advise people to take their own equipment or get there early. Snow Summit seems like a good place to learn how to ski or snowboard. There were a few dirt patches on some of the runs but overall the mountain had good coverage. I would go back again and plan on taking my 3 y/o for lessons next season.

“Ski school at Snow Summit”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

If you go during president's Day ski week, discounts are not available. Long wait to check in children for ski school in morning' but not afternoon. You can't see your child in the ski school unless she wears yellow or orange. Great ski school. Medics come for somebody from the regular slopes every day. Nice lodge to wait in. Nice gift shop. Coffee is $2.75

“Awesome for family skiing”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

My daughter loved her instructor John Ussher. He made the day for her. The mountain has tons of fresh snow from a storm the previous day. Loved the blue slopes. Laughter and fun all day long! My one complaint...the boot/ski rental office is WAY TOO SMALL. Super tight quarters but orderly lines at least.
