we stay there 2 times during Aug. 2013 as 2nd and 4th stoop in our vacation.

the room was big enough as we ask for delux room and it has setting area, small dressing corner with table for mek-up , big bathroom , and very comfotable bed ..

the service was excellent in every level , food , cleaning , concierge.. every thing perfect ..

just few step from the hotel you will fined starbuck's cafe which open 24 hour.

the famouse shopping area just 5 min walk from the hotel .

love it and recomended it.

We flew in Monday night 12/2 for a 5AM dental appointment next morning. Asked for the room to be ready 7AM after the surgery, and it was. Christine Lee met us at door, took care we will have tea &fruit.

The pillows had our monograms. I figured they will not keep 676 stock items, asked if we can buy them. Concierge said we are welcome to have the pillowslips, but of course not the pillows.

We used up their ice-buckets to cool down the operation site; they did all they could to help.

A blocked shower was very promptly fixed.

The rooms are very clean &pleasant.

Their airport car pickup service is excellent.

One of the best hotels we have been in.

Offer Nissenbaum made sure that everything would work, and that we would feel well after the surgery.

Good rooftop restaurant; took good care to keep us &guests warm on a cold night.

Room Tip: We liked 401

We recently stayed at the Peninsula for a couple of weeks and can honestly say this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in, and our favorite in LA. From the moment you arrive, you instantly feel like the staff make you feel welcome and at home, and the hotel borders in a very large private residence rather a big hotel. There is a comfort level that surpasses other hotels we have stayed in. We had a few mishaps at check in (booked the wrong room, on the second floor, which was farrrrr toooo small and dark, dont bother staying on the second floor if you are staying for more than a couple of nights, the rooms are tiny) and checked into a bigger room which had double the wardrobe space and room space and much more light.
Pros:
Friendly staff
complimentary car service within Beverly hills / 3 miles . all nice cars, you might get the Rolls Royce ghost as well!
Substantial menu, including vegan, gluten free etc. some of the food wasn't that good though, so go out and eat!
perfect location, on the intersection of Wilshire and S.Santa Monica boulevards. took us about 5-7 mins to walk into Beverly hills, and its a nice walk too. Very close to Saks/Rodeo/Barneys.
Comfortable, cosy rooms with comfortable beds.
complimentary fruit, water, neuro sleep (so necessary after a long flight),
huge bathrooms.
Can listen to the TV in the bathroom
peaceful surroundings if you get a corner room facing the garden or towards the front.
Staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.

Cons:
We were opposite an elevator which squeeked in the early mornings. Peninsula staff, you should get the elevators oiled.
Some shabby furniture stains, strange for a hotel that recently underwent refurbishment. We had to ask the housekeeping to remove some stains which looked like wine from the sofa.
Bed bug bites. Both of us had bites which friends and family denied were mosquito bites and this only occured at our stay at the Peninsula and on the same nights. We had to have the beds and rooms thoroughly checked. Of course the hotel staff confirmed there was non and we didn't find any but this was the first time this happened and to both of us and we can confirm they were bed bug bites as one night i felt something biting my leg and when i woke up i had a line of small red raised bites on my leg. Sad this happened, but I have heard of this kind of thing happening, even in luxury hotels.
some mishaps with the bill when we checked out, they dont seem to be very thorough with the accounts and billed us for items we already pre-paid for. we had to get the bill reviewed twice. Make sure you check the bills on check out.
The room has a temperature and light control system which was playing up on a few nights and we couldnt switch the nignt light off which was annoying.

Overall we loved our stay at the Peninsula, will stay here again and left LA after a pleasant stay and would choose this hotel over any of the LA hotels!

Room Tip: try to stay on the rooms on the end of the halls, they are usually bigger with more light.

Dear Vintage Kitty:

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on TripAdvisor. I was pleased to hear that you enjoyed our complimentary car service, our menu and our hotel's location worked well for you. Our staff works hard to personalize our guests' stay as much as possible in order to create a truly unique and memorable experience, so I very much appreciate your comments regarding the service and will relay this to our staff.

I'm sorry you experienced bug bites, however, we had Ecolab perform a thorough check of your room and received their professional report which indicated there were no bed bugs. The room has since been occupied several times with no further incidents.

I hope we'll have an opportunity to welcome you back to our hotel in the future. Please feel free to contact me directly if I can be of any further assistance.

Kind regards,

The Penninsula was our first stop for breakfast after we landed in LA the night before and what an absolute fantastic start to our holiday. The location was superb and the hotel was simply wonderful and as for the roofttop it left me speechless. It was idyllic - I was totally absorbed by the style and elegance of this area. The service was top class and the breakfast was the best I have ever had. The staff were so friendly and made you feel so very welcome and nothing was too much for them - everything was very professional but with a personal feel too. My experience of having breakfast was so memorable that I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this to all my friends - it was the best start ever to our holiday. Keep up the good work - excellent!!! Julie & Alf (York, UK)

this was my second visit to the Peninsula in Beverly Hills and I thought it would be hard to surpass the first!! however the team at the Peninsula simply cannot be beaten with respect to looking after their guests.

i have travelled extensively all over the world and have been fortunate to stay in some superb Hotels - nothing comes close to the Peninsula - everyone in their lifetime should make some time to try the Peninsula in Beverly Hills as part of their "Bucket List"... you will leave the Hotel with an experience of a lifetime...

The team are superb!!!!!

Room Tip: get a room overlooking the foyer and people watch!!! makes better viewing than most TV..

Having stayed at The Bel Air hotel and atheist Beverly Hills hotel and loved them, we were happy to have gone back to either of them but we're curious about the Peninsula. The reviews seemed mixed but we decided to give it a try. We were ver happy to have stayed there.

Our room (a junior suite) was lovely and very well appointed and immaculate. So pleased to see that this hotel didn't try to cheapen themselves by chArging for internet. HATE it when high-end hotels do that!!!

The service was perfect and fast. The free shuttle was on time and available. I ate in the poolside restaurant and loved the healthy and tasty choices. Service was informative and wonderful. The gym was big enough, with all the best equipment. My husband had a lovely massage in the spa.

I would happily stay there again.q

This hotel was rated the top business hotel in North America for four years in a row. Offer Nissenbaum and his friendly, well trained, anticipatory staff may very well write the text book for hospitality management. The property is stunning and exceptionally well maintained. You can how well trained the staff is; they almost anticipate every question, every move, every instinct of a guest. The pool, cabana, spa and work out facilities are spectacular. The food at Belvedere is sensational, in a quiet setting to celebrate an important occasion or to have a sensitive business dinner. The rooms are well appointed; the bathrooms beautiful. I even marvel at the technology in the room. No one will every check out and not have had a 5 star experience!

Room Tip: Room 202 is a little oasis.
