The signature Roasted Prime Ribs of Beef are aged 21 days, rock salt-roasted to perfection then carved to order tableside from shining silver carts. The famous Spinning Bowl Salad, whipped cream horseradish, mashed potatoes, Yorkshire Pudding and warm hospitality complete the experience that has landed Lawry's on countless "10 Best" lists and made it a dining legend since 1938.

“First time here - will return!”

Came here specifically with another couple to celebrate a birthday. First of all, I knew going in it would be a pricey dinner. Big thing to note for everyone: there is only prime rib here with some seafood add ons. The only difference is the size of the meat you get. I appreciated that they didn't a la carte you to death. Your meal comes with meat, salad (only one type), mashed potatoes, and a veggie option. I don't say this in a negative way I just want everyone to know this going in. The servings were generous and very tasty. Service was done with a flourish and drama. There is a carving station and the servers wear distinct outfits. This is a really nice place to celebrate special occasions. This is LA so nice jeans and a shirt are acceptable. Most people wore nice, casual clothes. The wine list was good. Dessert options were good. We had hot fudge Sunday. For dinner I had the Lawry cut which is 10 ounces, potatoes, creamed corn (yes, creamed corn). The creamed corn was delicious!
You get Yorkshire pudding as well. Our friends added on the lobster tails, which they liked. We were stuffed! Reservations are a must. I would return.

“Overpriced, lack of atmosphere, outdated, inferior service. Complete disconnect between asking price and product. Avoid”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2013 via mobile

This is not worth the money.
We were a party of four. The entrance and foyer are carpeted and dark. The whole place reminded us of some sort of asylum in a depressing movie. The bar area is not inviting and feels run down. Wine selection by the glas limited and expensive. Everything here feels disconnected. The polish waitress was friendly but completely lacking in service. She forgot the drinks and several other requests. The food was mediocre at best. There was no style in the presentation. Most of the parties here came to celebrate a birthday. They seem to live of that and their history.
The bill was in no relation to food quality or utter lack of service. A waste of money. Will never return.

“Great Place for a Celebration”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

18 of us gathered for a 90th birthday celebration. We worked with the staff well in advance to make sure that the event was fitting for the occasion. And it was. We had a private room and were well cared for during the entire event. A very memorable experience. The food was delicious with compliments all around. Joe and the entire wait staff took great pride in being part of the organization. The event was pricey but for the memory, well worth it.

“Stuffed for the Holidays with Family & Friends”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2013

Stuffed for the holidays. Jim Brady style. If you think you can eat a lot well then order up your self the Diamond Jim Brady cut, rare ;-) This cut is so large half of it always goes home with me. The sides are so good so remember not to just eat the prime rib! And for the holiday season, Lawry’s transforms itself into a Christmas wonderland. Amazingly talented Christmas carolers stop at each table performing your request. It certainly feels like you have just stepped back into a Charles Dickinson novel, lots of fun for the whole family. I truly enjoy returning every year and so does my belly! I recommend this place to get stuffed for the holidays

“Fantasic Food and Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2013

Had a great meal in Lawry's Beverly Hills during our vacation.

I opted for the extremely large "DIAMOND JIM BRADY CUT". The flavour was just amazing, and meat was so tender. Just about managed to finish the main course, but didn't have room for desert, so on our final leg of our holiday (in Las Vegas), we went back

Service was great - Laurie (?) was really helpful and took time to chat with us - 1st class service

Highly recommended.
