The egg cream here is the best. Even better than the home of the egg cream--New York. And it's only 50 cents. Biggest bargain anywhere. If you don't know what an egg cream is--it's chocolate syrup, seltzer and milk. By the way it dos not contain an egg or cream. The best drink ever. To go with the egg cream I love the smoked fish--especially the baked salmon (my wife prefers the white fish) and bagels that they serve. You can sit outside if you like.

Take a patio table with a view of the Hollywood Hills. The menu is diverse with something for every taste. Both our meals were very generous portions and excellent, as was the service. This will be a regular on our visits to LA.

This restaurant is filled with divorced women spending their alimony checks, showing off body parts to maximum advantage; salon tanned shoulders, face lifts, boob jobs, etc. The food is adequate except on the greasy side. The service was poor with a bad attitude. They were very much interested in getting you in and out rather than letting you feel comfortable and satisfied. In addition, the space is noisy and the tables are very close to each other.

The food here is upscale, California deli. What you really go for is the great view and ambiance. There is a rooftop terrace with beautiful views of Beverly Hills. It's always busy so even for lunch you need a reservation. Noteworthy that parking in the Barney's building is super easy and they validate.

Not everybody knows that there is an authentic New York Deli on the top of Barney's in Beverly Hills but there is and its good. For those looking for a taste of home (I am from Philly so its not my home) there are all of the Hebrew favorites that you could want including smoked fishes, killer matzo ball soup and more. They have food products to buy that are very good but their Cobb Salad was my go-to lunch at Barney's Greengrass. Brisket, corn and a nice dressing - you don't have to blow your day's food plan at lunch. The view outside is very nice but inside can be fun too. Service is almost always perfect.
