“glad we ate here”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

we were going to go to Cut, but the two times that I spoke with Cut they seemed to not care. we were staying at the Peninsula hotel and they recommed this place. what a good place a little more laid back as in comfort and style. food was very good and the service too. Most of all Pam the hostess was very accomodating and very outgoing. I would go back.

“Good but maybe a little dated”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

We found the Grill to be straight forward fare with an older crowd this past Saturday night. While everything was good, nothing felt outstanding our a "wow" factor.
Service was good, friendly although at moments a tad rushed.
Perhaps the best item was the Tuna Tartre appetizer which is a reminder that perhaps the menu would benefit from a little up-dating.
While good, it's a better overall scene for lunch.

Business dinner in LA.
A classic restaurant with great food.
Service is excellent and all staff is extremely professional.
If you want something hip is not your place but if you're looking for a relaxing night with good food is the place to go to!

“Not so Ritzy service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

First impressions always count, on our arrival we were kept waiting and the restaurant was half empty, the head waiter was rude and that set the tone. However the food was great, the veal chop was enormous but delicious, make sure you are very hungry as the servings are enormous in true American style. The service was ordinary, we felt you had to be known to be noticed, we poured our own water and wine, many waiters passing by and not noticing our empty glasses, when we asked a waiter assigned to our table if it was her duty to pour the wine she got quite touchy and huffed off !!! So naturally a tip was not left for their lack of effort. I would not bother to return to this restaurant.
