The atmosphere is warm and friendly, the staff very accommodating and knowledgeable about their menu and wine list.
Our dinner was served very quickly we didn't have to wait very long for our meal. The oyster appetizer was delish and the schnitzel authentic Austrian. We would definitely go back again.

To put in context the last time I dined at Spago, Wolfgang Puck himself was still greeting diners. With all the new alternatives , which let’s face it, copied Spago, it is easy to forget it’s still there, but we wanted a private room for a corporate dinner for twenty and wanted it to be special. Spago fit the bill.

We could see the main dining room through several windows separating the private room from the other diners, but were not part of scene.

We were immediately asked about beverages (I had a Whistle Pig Manhattan with the perfect soaked cherry) and the appetizers soon started flowing. Service was excellent. Some of the apps were pizza, likely the most expensive California Pizza Kitchen pizza ever and the irony was not lost on me. Everything was delicious however, especially the tuna tartare.

The room was beautifully appointed and the table spacious. It was easy to hold a conversation as the entrees arrived. We had a fixed menu but there were no complaints about either the beef or salmon options.

Valet charges were rolled into the bill which made it convenient for employees. Yes, Spago is expensive, but if you want to impress a group of colleagues from out of town, Spago has flexible accommodations.

We are putting Spago back on the rotation.

I heard they had changed some things and wanted to go before I took anyone out to the restaurant. The atmosphere was great as usual and the staff excellent. Wolfgang was there which is always a treat. The food was good but did not wow me like it used to. I will try again because it used to be one of my favorites.

Always heard about spago and finally for the chance on a trip to LA. From the moment we walked in we felt very welcome. I was kind of expecting to be looked down upon since I'm not famous ;). The food was quite good and the place is very nice. Certainly worth the experience.

Dressed as tourists (shorts, nice t-shirts with collars) we were not sure we would be welcome for lunch, but we were treated graciously. Others were dressed like us or in full business regalia or evening clothes. It did not seem to matter to anyone.

The service was superb and the food was excellent. Every single thing we ate was pretty spectacular. The prices were also very reasonable. All in all a nearly perfect restaurant experience.
