We decided that we had to try Spago, and went on a Friday evening. It was busy and buzzing, and they could not sit us immediately so we spent some time in the bar; this was pretty good, bustling, quite a varied crowd. We were seated for dinner in the courtyard, which is well heated and although busy, it did not feel oppressively crowded. The service was most interesting. The team were friendly enough, but it was quite comical watching them get completely confused over what food needed to go where. At one stage there were 3 servers standing next to the fireplace in the courtyard, warming the food, awaiting instructions on where the plates were supposed to be delivered to since they had already tried to take them to the wrong table. It was quite funny to watch, but not what you would expect from a high end establishment. The food was good, interesting, well executed. Comprehensive wine list.
