The Mosaic Hotel in Beverly Hills was lovely! Small hotel but well appointed, beautiful rooms and the service was fabulous. The concierge/front desk staff was superb and very friendly. The bed and linens were super comfy, rooms and bathrooms very clean. The lobby was small but nice, but not very populated. They had a quaint outdoor pool and sitting area but we didn't get to use it really due to weather. Walking distance to BH shopping, etc - right off Santa Monica Blvd and next to the Peninsula Hotel. Very convenient for hopping around LA to different hoods. Best part - our entire stay was $405 for two nights!!

Stayed here for two days entertaining an out-of-town friend who wanted to enjoy the fall warmth and sunshine in LA. Wanted to stay at a larger place but everything else in BH is dramatically more expensive, so we chose The Mosaic. (The one unfortunate fee is the $25 parking charge - you essentially self-park in the lot out back, so it seems hard to justify.)

The public areas and decor are nice, although you can tell this is an older building that has only been rehabilitated. The rooms were tasteful, although very small - there was hardly room for luggage. The pool area, while cozy and charming, has only three chaise lounges, and is obstructed by so many tall buildings that it barely gets any sun. You need to re-position yourself several times, and if the area were crowded, I imagine it wouldn't be as nice. Definitely think twice before booking this if your primary goal is to lounge poolside.

Service is great, though - everyone is friendly and attentive. One amazing touch was the fruit basket and flavored water in the lobby - we enjoyed that a lot!

This was our second stay at the Mosaic Hotel. We have a business meeting in Beverly Hills each fall at another very pricy hotel but stay here instead. The service is very friendly and responsive. The small, cozy restaurant is excellent and the staff first rate. The parking is very easy, in and out, no need for a valet. The location is perfect for shopping and walking around Beverly Hills. The gym is very small, but I enjoyed running around the neighborhood instead. The pool is also very small, good for ambiance but not for lap swimming. There is a deal with a Sports Club though, if you choose. The rooms are beautifully decorated, not fancy, but sophisticated. They aren't huge, but were okay. We paid an average of $199 per night, plus parking. We'll be back.

We were visiting family and decided to stay at a new place. Normally we have stayed at the Peninsula Hotel next door but in these tight times we scaled back . The rooms were fine. The service was four star Mohssaine welcomed my daughter and I as if we had visited many times before. They gave us a driver to take us to our family high up in the hills at no cost. We were welcomed with fresh fruit and water. The pool was small but very clean and warm. It was a pleasure. I missed a turn down in the evening. Our damp pool towels lay on the bathroom floor all night but at the great price and wonderful attention, when we visit my Mom we sill stay there again.

We stayed 3 nights in August. Unlike the prior reviewer, we found the staff to be young, personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. (Including Chad. Thank you.) The bed was comfortable, and the room clean and nicely appointed, reasonably sized - not huge). I appreciated the desk and the wi fi access. It was nice to sit around the pool area, or have a drink at the bar before going out. It is well-situated for business or shopping in Beverly Hills, and has relatively easy access to downtown, Hollywood, the airport, etc. All in all, we were favorably impressed and pleased with our stay at The Mosaic.

I have to go with the person who said something has changed. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to Bverley Hills etc... That it is. Parking is easy. Rooms are "typical" boutique. Breakfast is good. Now...the service is hit or miss. That shouldn't be. Chad was the reception/concierge. Personality of a guppy. Didn't know where to go, what to do, where to eat. Told us he was from Flynt, MI. He's the first person you meet at this hotel and he doesn't give you a warm welcome. Maybe this boutique is best for those who have been to LA a few times and know what to do and where to eat. I like using concierge service in hotels because they generally are in the know. Collin, the driver, was great and helpful. No paper in the morning. We asked for a wake up at 7:30am...telephone call at 7:50am. Not acceptable.

It is a charming place with a nice little pool. If only the service matched the exterior charm.
