“Excellent Little Hotel in Beverly Hills”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2014

Let me begin by calibrating anyone staying in this part of LA. No decent hotel is cheap. Plain and simple. $300 a night is entry level into the luxury hotel market. That said, for the price, Mosaic delivers on its promise.

The hotel sits on a quiet street just off the intersection of Santa Monica and Wilshire Blvd. This places you about a 20 minute walk / 4 minute drive from the center of Beverly Hills and about a 20 minute drive from Santa Monica. Great location.

Another advantageous aspect of the hotel is the parking. There is ample parking within the premises and it is all on the ground floor which means that access to your car is quick and convenient.

The hotel lobby is small, tasteful and easy to navigate. There is a desk to check in, a small bar and a small restaurant. The overall decor is earthy tones and comfortable. Check-in is fast and pleasant.

The rooms are not huge, but provide sufficient area for two people to comfortable co-exist. The decor is pleasant and comfortable with a modern feel. The bathrooms are large enough, but more importantly the shower has great pressure which is important. Lastly, the shower products are Bulgari and very good.

The rooms are equipped with all the amenities you would expect from a hotel of this caliber including a Bose stereo, flat screen TV, robes, etc. It also has a very comfortable bed and perfect pillows. I stay in a lot of hotels and this is not always a given, but these beds were some of the best.

On the negative side, the hotel is a bit noisy in the evenings & mornings when people are up and about. We stayed on the third floor and could hear the footsteps above us. Nothing that kept me up, but it was unexpected.

We had one lunch and two breakfasts in the restaurant. The food is above average, but the service was excellent. The breakfast menu offers a lot of diversity from simple grains to eggs benedict. No reason to go out for breakfast. The lunch and dinner menu is a bit more limiting. Given the plethora of restaurants within walking distance, this is not a factor. If you choose to stay in, the restaurant is fine.

From check-in to check-out and everything in between, the service was consistently excellent. Every member of the staff was pleasant and accommodating. You actually get the feeling they like working there and are proud of their hotel. This can make all the difference.

Overall, the experience was very good, the accommodations were exactly as advertised, the location was perfect and the bed was comfortable. What more could you ask!

Room Tip: They have a on each floor room in which the elevator cuts into the floorplan. Ask for any other roo...

The beautiful images from website do not match the quality of the hotel. In reality, the overrall feel is quite worn out. There are several plastic surgeons across the street who use this hotel for patient recovery which is probably how this hotel mostly stays in business.

Upon entering the lobby, there was nothing special or relaxing about the boutique enviroment; simply a desk where front clerks sit to greet you and a full service bar directly across from where you check in/out, so don't expect privacy upon getting your room key.

The pool view from my hotel room just confirms a dirty pool that doesn't appear to have regular maintenance and its 80 degrees here, so you would think the pool would be an attraction. No one has been in it since I've been here the last 2 days.

The room is standard. Spots in the bathroom sink tile and floor area. Otherwise, basic amenties and nothing to brag about. I do like the bose radio and keurig.

Be careful your luggage is not heavy! The hallway carpet is thick and luggage will not roll over it. My room was at the end of the hallway and luckily a nice housekeeper helped me bring bags to my room.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The price is cheaper than most places in tow, just don't expect much else because you won't get it.

What a pleasant surprise. This little hotel reminds us of small hotels in London and Paris. This is a try hard boutique hotel with lots of amenities. Granite showers, floors, counters, fluffy robes, a better bed then we than we had in a Beverly Hills hotel we were at the last four days with a room rate double this lovely hotel. The location is not in the Rodeo Drive area but it is not far away. Instead it is on peaceful street that offers a more open feeling. This hotel gets a super rating because it offers a great value. The room size is not huge but adequate. The staff is outstanding. They are helpful and always present. Definitely a good selection.

I just spent four wonderful days in beverly hills and a business associate had recommended the mosaic! The hotel was perfect in every respect; the staff, room, service, room, parking were all easy and delightful.
beverly hills is a great place to visit for a little bit of manhattan in California, and this hotel was walking distance to all of the attractions.

Room Tip: I had a room on the pool which was very quiet.

My sister and I have stayed at the Mosaic in the same room for the last 3 years while having surgery in Beverly Hills. We couldn't be happier with everything it has to offer. Apart from the fact that our surgeon is literally straight over the road from the hotel and that the sun is always shining EVEN in December (we're from the UK!) the hotel couldn't be a nicer place to stay in its own right. It is a small boutique hotel (just the perfect size- great for one on one excellent service but not too small like a B&B for example). The rooms are more than adequately sized with a huge T.V and a gorgeous bathroom. We love our view over the pool which is surrounded by palms complete with hummingbirds drinking from them! The staff genuinely couldn't be friendlier or more helpful, the decor is lovely, the restaurant menu is varied and tasty and the location is excellent, only a few minutes walk away from Rodeo Drive and the best part is it is very reasonably priced for such excellent service and such an excellent location, We are loyal customers for life!

Room Tip: Rooms on the third floor have a lovely view over the pool. The pool is surrounded by candle-lit tabl...

We just stayed at the Mosaic Hotel in Beverly Hills and it was fantastic. We were centrally located so we could see a number of famous museums/art galleries nearby. It is located in between the Reagan Library, the Nixon Library as well as the Getty Villa and the Getty Center. The hotel is very small and "charming" is an understatement. The small size of the hotel allows for excellent "one on one" service, and kudos to Operations Manager Adolfo Lopez and his staff. We were really impressed by the welcoming desk headed by Angelo. The bar/rest. area was headed by Brandon who is excellent in his customer service skills. The dinner menu was really diverse and we highly enjoyed the calamari, the smoked salmon cakes and the ahi tuna stack. For breakfast, try the eggs benedict. These guys have been highly trained in service and it showed throughout the hotel. The room was ample sized and highly modernized....very quiet with no outside noises that we could hear....... and we had a 3 night stay. I would highly recommend this charming location as a real sleeper in Beverly Hills, without the fanfare that a large hotel brings. We would definitely go back again! David and Kim

Room Tip: We were in room 202 with a king bed, mini bar and no outside noises at all. Nice big screen hd tv. N...
