“good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

We went to the Mosaic because it was much cheaper than any other decent-sounding hotel in the area. We weren't disappointed. It's a lot like a Kimpton, maybe a bit less fancy and somewhat smaller rooms. High points were the friendly, supportive staff (one of our suitcases was lost so we needed them for various things), and the fact that they had a hotel car and driver to take you around the neighborhood for free. Lowlights were that the room was a bit small (though attractive and well thought out) and that it was noisy from some machinery. I'll stay there again next time I'm in Beverly Hills, unless I'm really splurging - but I'd avoid room 214 for the noise. It was about $300 for a room. By comparison, our event was 12 blocks away at the Montage, and the cheapest room there was $600.

My two suggestions to them are 1) do something about the noise in the room, and 2) leave the shutters open. There was a nice little view into the pool area, but between the opaque wooden shutters and a sort of ornamental drape arrangement, I just assumed that it backed onto a wall or something and never opened them till just before we left.

Room Tip: I don't know if 214 was the only room with noise (I think from the HVAC system) but I'd ask...

Stay clear away from this hotel due to extremely loud construction next door. There isn't a quiet room in the place since its a small boutique hotel. Not even a pair of noise canceling head phones would save you. This has always been one of my favorite hotels. Call first don't do this to yourself it starts at 7:30am -5:00 pm to no avail!! Trucks!! Hammers everything you can think off. Sad. The housekeepers are loud too right now since they know no one is asleep anyway. I got in at 4am as it is so I can't feel my legs I am so tired. No place for a nap here until after 5. They shouldn't even charge guests seriously!! I wouldn't pay for this cruelty!

I splurged a bit on this trip to LA and stayed at the Mosaic for three nights. A lovely little boutique hotel tucked into the corner of Beverly Hills, it offers really friendly staff, delicious rooms and a nice little restaurant with even better staff. You can self-park(note that parking charge is $30), free wi-fi, a pool, and my room had a little patio outside with chairs and table. The only downside is that right now there is construction going on next door, which goes on from 8-5.

This little hotel was first class and provided exceptional quality and service at a great rate. The little lobby bar was cozy and charming and the food was delicious. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

I enjoyed my stay at Mosaic very much. The staff are very friendly and the feeling is quiet, private and charming. I enjoyed their room service very much. The rooms not on the road side are quietest.
The regular rooms were very nice - average size - they make you feel at home.

Room Tip: Ask to stay on the side not on the road and the top floor is better - or in one of the bigger suites...

Unique small hotel just inside the Beverly Hills zip code and one-half block off Wilshire..... if you are tired of cookie cutter hotel rooms, e.g. you are never sure what chain you are staying in or what city it is located in, you may want to try the Mosaic. There is convenient self-parking, safe, quiet neighborhood, a small outdoor patio and pool and an accommodating, well stocked small bar. This is a place for solo travelers or couples who are looking for convenience to Century City, Mid-Wiltshire, Beverly Hills and even UCLA.,

Room Tip: If going as a couple, may want to request and pay for the upgraded room -- a bit larger and a bit mo...

Mosaic is a lovely boutique hotel. Room was clean, but small. Toiletries were high end, but their fragrance was overwhelming. Staff was friendly. Neighborhood is great! The air exchanger was noisier that I would like. All in all it's a very nice place to stay.

Room Tip: Would have liked to have a room overlooking the pool.
