What an amazing hotel to hang out in beverly hills. it is opp a fantastic food and shopping plaza and right in the center of town. the rooms are super luxurious (we got upgraded to the jr suite) and the service is immaculate as can be expected from a four seasons property

Overall
This was our third trip to this hotel and thought I would add a new review. I was disappointed on arrival as a returning guest there was no mention of a welcome back although they did say they had upgraded us. However the room that we had been allocated as an upgrade was at the back of the hotel, not overlooking the front street as I had previously requested in advance. When I complained I was told that I had been given an upgrade, however it wasn't a better room in my opinion - it didn’t have a great view; no character and the bathroom smaller. We were offered a different room after at least 30mins wait (we had now been at the hotel for nearly an hour after a 12 hour flight). We had to wait for the new room to be serviced, however it was worth the wait as the room was looking over the front, had character and had a lovely big bathroom - exactly what I had paid and asked for! We got internet comp for 1 night $18 - not a big gesture for all the hassle!

The cost!
The increase in the valet parking is just crazy - $40 per night now - maybe it's just because I’m British but it seems like most things in the hotel – it’s overpriced - they seemed to have focused on the business traveller, which is fine if you are putting everything on the company Amex, but if you are tourist and looking for value for money – then this isn’t the place.

We also ordered room service one evening and was really disappointed - we waited for 1 hour and had to chase - when it arrived it was cold and incorrect not exactly value for money when it would of cost nearly $85 for a burger, pasta and chocolate brownie - we didn't eat it but again wasn't offered an apology, but it was removed from the bill.

The service in the gym and by the pool is excellent and the coffee/tea before 7:30am in the lobby is a nice touch.

Location
The location remains the true gem - its nice to be able to just walk somewhere in LA both in the day and to restaurants nearby, we had a fantastic meal and service at Ruth Chris steak house and it was fantastic.

We agreed that we would try and different hotel when we return to LA next time.

As I have stayed at the Beverly Wilshire many times before all I can say is that the standard has never dropped and it has maintained its overall excellent service. In fact I am sure other excellent hotels exist in Beverly Hills however my view is that once you found a hotel that you love in a position that you know, why change? As long as the hotel maintains its standard then it really does become a home away from home! That is how I see the and feel about the Beverly Wilshire. Keep up the good work.

We recently stayed here for 4 nights as part of a road trip, this was our last stop and overall we were disappointed with our stay. On arrival we had spent $20 tipping and we hadn't even got into the room, some may say this is outstanding service, but it was OTT.

We received a complimentary upgrade to our room, but felt this was not to our advantage as we had paid extra to have a front street view and the upgrade meant we overlooked the courtyard - which actually is the car drop off. We settled into our room to find the toilet broken, which although was fixed quickly but we felt should have been picked up before check in. Following the fixture, thinking all was well, we were asked if we could leave the room as they then had to fix a leak! Being tired and not fully refreshed this was not a good start.

During our stay we requested breakfast which failed to be delivered, the following morning they remembered but only delivered half the order. We did have a meal one night in our room, following a hectic day at universal and this was good, delivered promptly with beautiful presentation. We would have loved to have eaten at the Cut - but it was closed.

The hotel is stunningly beautiful, staff amazing (which is at your expense) and the location great, fantastic for shopping, but expensive esp eating out. We accept that issues occur, but the hotel did nothing to make up for the issues we had, which we felt unacceptable for the money you pay to stay there. Even if they had offered a complimentary breakfast - that would have been enough, but we received nothing. We did a 5* road trip, this was the most expensive hotel we stayed at and it was not worth in compared the the others on our trip esp when you pay so much extra when you arrive, parking, wifi and endless tipping. You are paying for the name, the fact it was in Pretty Women (which I will add is nothing like the film!) and we would not revisit this hotel or in fact LA.

If you are looking for a luxury hotel property in Beverly Hills, this is it! Everything from the impeccable service to the amazing bed, bathroom amenities are world-class. I do not recommend the restaurant Cut even though we were really looking forward to eating there after hearing all the hype. Our table of 5 people received very slow, spotty service and when asked to discuss the wine list with the sommelier we were told she was not available - what? We did fine with our waiter but then we never saw him again until the food came out 1 hour later! If you must try Cut, you have been warned! Otherwise a truly special, magical and wonderful experience was found at this amazing Four Seasons property.

The staffs are truly the highlight of the Beverly Wilshire. They are very helpful, warm, engaging, and they make you feel special. From the doormen in sharp suits who greet you by the name and ask how your day trip to Disneyland was, to the front manager who ushered you into the taxi with bottles of cold water for the road and told the taxi driver to "please take really good care of them", to the concierge who will do just about anything to make your life easier and genuinely delighted in doing so, the service is very personal (and even more remarkably so considering the number of celebrities who frequent the place).

If you are a keen shopper - such as yours truly :) - you will absolutely love the location of this hotel. I didn't need the in-house Rolls Royce as the Rodeo Drive was literally a thirty second walk across the road.

Food was a bit of a let down. We had breakfast at the restaurant once and a few room services for dinner. My partner wasn't very happy with the breakfast selection. He's more of a buffet sort of guy and there weren't a lot of choices at breakfast, about 5-6 mains I think and most of them were modernised classics e.g. lobster eggs benedict, or some exotic cold platters which may not be to everyone's liking. I enjoyed my lobster eggs benedict. Room service menu was much more varied but I found the quality a bit lacking. It's perfectly edible but it wasn't anything special. If anything, the food actually tasted instant. Definitely not authentic. Like they couldn't be bothered making that Indian curry from scratch and resorted to curry-in-a-jar. Food prices at the hotel are relatively cheap for the kind of portions you get.

Another thing I wasn't entirely impressed with is the hotel interior. The exterior is that of a grand colonial-style building but the interior is quite jaded and not overly modern. The pool is also very small. It's a little like staying over at your wealthy grandmother's house - a matter of personal preference as I'm sure other people would find this kind of style 'charming'.

I've stayed in many Four Seasons properties around the world and the Beverly Wilshire is definitely at the top of my list - Four Seasons Cairo had the best food, Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay in Bali is the overall winner, but the BW would probably have won if they had a private plunge pool :)

This hotel has become my home away from home while on business or pleasure in LA. The rooms are well appointed, sparkling clean and extremely comfortable. The service is tops and after a few visits, I was taken under the wing of one of the staff members who makes every visit a memorable one. From the doorman, to the valet to the house car driver, everyone magically remembers my name. It is an excellent touch, and something I've noticed takes place at other Four Seasons properties. The location is perfect for entertainment and for those who have business on the Westside. I prefer to stay in the Wilshire Wing (the old building) where the rooms tend to be larger than a standard room in the Beverly Wing. However I've been upgraded to some amazing suites in the tower and have had a hard time checking out on more than one occasion. The BLVD is also a great place for a business breakfast, and of course Cut for dinner. Keep up the great work!
