We stayed in Beverly Hills to visit our daughter, and spent 4 nights at the Avalon at the end of December 2013.
The reception was a bit upo and down from forgetting to order a taxi to super help in printing off boarding cards for a return flight.
Couple of things wrong with the room on arrival, skliding bathroom door would not move and had to be repaired and was still not working properly when we left.
The door had to be a sliding door as the rooms are not large but are well equipped and very pleasantly furnished.
Staff really friendly and the area around the pool is very pleasant for eating and drinks.
Very close, walking distance to local shops, bars and restaurants, nice selection, and a pleasant area.
Restaurant for the first night we spent at the hotel was overpriced, and the food was average. A recurring theme for hotels we have visited this recently.
Breakfast was exceellent, but items omitted by the waiter.
We got a good deal for the time of the year for this hotel, so i shouldn't be too critical, it was ok, but nothing spectacular. Would we return, possibly because it is close to my daughter, and the deal was good. If it was repeated then i guess we would give it another go.More
