I had the pleasure of staying two nights at The Crescent. Sure I read the reviews of people complaining about things - but I take negative reviews with a grain of salt. The hotel is in the HEART of Beverly Hills! You can WALK to EVERYTHING! I arrived late on a Friday night. Candlelight greeted me upon entrance, the front desk attendant was more than welcoming and friendly. He let me preview which room would suit me better (a larger King room or the Petite Queen I originally booked). I chose the Petitie Queen because it had everything I needed - a toilet, shower, sink, bed, window, air conditioning, tv and a door! As a girl traveling by herself - this was absolutely perfect for what I needed. The bed was clean and comfy. The bathroom was clean. I understand they are in the process of doing some updates, so naturally there is a few things that could be improved - like the thin walls, but I am not a picky person. The morning coffee and pastries was perfect and delicious!!! The lovely lady in the kitchen gave me three fresh, warm croissants because I mentioned how tasty they were! Super nice!
All in all - if you want fancy luxury, stay at the Montage. If you are looking for a place that is warm, inviting, cozy and a place to shower, sleep and save your money for restaurants and shopping - this is the place to stay!
Thank you for a wonderful stay! I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- This Beverly Hills hotel, a true boutique with just 32 rooms, is in the heart of Beverly Hills just 3 blocks from Rodeo Drive. The front palm lined terrace (breakfast, nibbles, tapas and dinner) faces Crescent Ave - a wide palm lined boulevard. Established in 1927 and newly renovated in 2013, the décor is casually Hollywood, like a comfy collection of styles from the studios' storehouse of set designs stretching from 1920 to 2013. The feeling is “at-studio-at-home” with a film designer’s whimsy. The terrace and lounge flow to create the hotel’s social hub, offering casual dining and a relaxing bar/lounge, punctuated by Beverly Hills chatter. Directly opposite the hotel are the historic offices of MCA Studios. Our hotel became MCA’s local choice, where a cadre of players would stay when in town. ... more less
