We were directed to Chef George's by a local when we were checking in our condo. It was only 2 miles away but we never saw a sigh indicating it's presence. Finally we got out of our car in the shopping center and found it hidden in the corner of the buildings.. It was jammed with locals. The decor was somewhat garish, all the stuff on the walls cut down the noise of the patrons. They were so busy transferring forkfuls of Hungarian cabbage rolls, chic hen livers on noodles, goulash from huge plates. It all looked great and everyone looked happy. As couples left they all carried take home boxes bulging with leftovers for meals at home. Two of us shared one order of cabbage rolls and still took home leftovers. This is a real find for very good Eastern Europe food.

This place does not have a sign out front, and the nearest neighbor is a thrift shop, but once inside, the lady of the house welcomes you, and hovers in the room to ensure everything is working. The food is delicious, the service impeccable, the entrees are huge, in fact they are huge! Platter size dishes, filled with wonderful food. I had Paella which could have and did food five in all (we took a lot home). My wife had a dish of Chicken Paprikash, a Hungarian specialty, and it fed five as well. Prices are moderate considering the size of the entrees and the quality of the food. Highly recommended.

Like so many of the really worthwhile things in life, this place is hard to find. It's in the corner of a small strip mall; no sign apart from the neon "Open" sign. Walk in and you're greeted enthusiastically- by name if you're one of the many regulars. Once you're seated service is prompt and professional. The staff doesn't stroll - they've perfected an elegant fast walk. The menu has choices of cannelloni, the house goulash, fish and chicken dishes. Every plate is HUGE, so plan on taking a box home. Start with the chef's cream of mushroom soup - best we ever had. The wine list is just the right size, and studded with tasty and reliable selections. You won't have room for dessert, but the house-made strudel is very good! For us, this is the best European food in the valley, so go!

Tucked into a nondescript strip mall next to a thrift store it has no sign, its word of mouth that keeps fans coming back. The menu is eclectic "old Europe" with a strong Hungarian tilt. Food is delicious, portions are enormous and the atmosphere transports you far from the desert.

You won't see ads or a sign, you will only know about this place if you hear from someone or through Tripadvisor.
I had the butterflied calamari--a house special, Wife and a friend each had the grilled sea bass which was great. I wish I would have ordered the chicken livers which were offered prepared two different ways. We spllit a Greek salad which was very good. We also received the early bird $5.00 off each entree since our reservation was at 5:30.
