I was at a conference at the Claremont Hotel in Berkeley, and I discovered that College Ave. had a number of restaurants. We chose Troy, and we are glad that we did. We each had the gyro platter, and we ordered an appetizer (hummus and pita) and a side (Greek fries) to share. The hummus was good, but the four quarters of a pita was not worth $4.95. I advise against that appetizer because it is too expensive for what you receive. On the other hand, the side of Greek fries was absolutely worth $2.95. The fries were very tasty and a nice addition to our meal. The prices of the hummus and Greek fries should be flipped. The gyro platters were very good, and the quantity of food was very good for the price. If you happen to be at the Claremont, walk out of the driveway, turn right, and walk about 1/2 mile to College Ave.
